Resistance 2 is set to be released November 2008, and is the sequel to one of the PS3's launch titles. It's a FPS game, where you find yourself fighting for mankind against hungry aliens called "Chimera's". It takes place shortly after WW2 (not the best time to be attacked by aliens). It's the guys who brought us the Ratchet & Clank series that are making this game, so expect some crazy weapons. And as you probably know, it's PS3 exclusive.

I really like the game but am too not very hyped for it. I'll definetly get it but there are some games (FO3, LBP) which I want way more. :P

This game will be amazing!!!! I'm assuming maybe you didn't even play the original.

I'm very much looking forward to it, I enjoyed first Resistance and this one hooked me up once I spend some time in 8-man co-op BETA.

the doc said my head was fine, but later revealed from other symptoms that i was alergic against gameplay mediocrity. tough break :roll:.

It could have 16 player campaign and 120 player online, it could still be a crap game. The amount of people who can play don't define how good a game is.

What makes this topic so Ultimate anyway?? Doesn't have anything we didn't know and the info is pretty scarse... I prefer the topic created by abdel.

nope, but poor weapons accuracy, massive health deposits, and the strange shoulder cross-hair (first time i ever seen that) kinda does. hmm... maybe mediocrity is not the right word here.... whatever.

game modes aren't part of gameplay, the actual runnin' & gunnin' is. I can't enjoy a game unless i find it's core appealing, as much as i like the Resistance world and all of the awesome features R2 has, i don't like the gameplay. i'm sorry but i just don't find it pleasurable. Despite saying that i did pretty well in the beta. maybe it'll grow on me, but so far, no dice.

You're right. However, anyone familiar with Resistance will tell you those new additions to even the old gameply would make a fantastic feature for the new offering. If you don't like the franchise then you don't like the franchise. One's personal preference shouldn't detract from another's.
