the socom beta is a flatout joke....

Please, have you read the server information. They said it should be fixed by next week so there isnt any point in complaining. Just wait for an update that will fix it. After all

imo i love the game it feels like socom 2 which is a good thing i have no complaints about it sure it lags a bit and its slow in the menus but its a beta not a final build so there is nothing to stress about company's do betas to see what problem's they got to fix before it gets released to the public so all you people stop complaining about how bad it is stop cuz its just a beta warhawk was the same i was in the beta at first it was garbage same problems as socom but 2-3 weeks it was getting better

Once again the game wont change drastically between now and release. TC wasnt just complaining about server issues, but sloppy gameplay as well (its a staple of SOCOM). That wont be changed besides maybe some minor tweaks.

And while the MGO beta was tough to get into at first do to the whole Konami ID/Gamer ID mess, the beta had no issues like this. It was actually the best beta I have ever played and the only thing that really changed for release was movement and camera speeds. So why would you use this in defense of the Socom mess?

Well that's where I and TC differ. i say gameplay is fine and if they tweek it that's okay but all i really want is server issues fixed.

people, just dont complain on a BETA, if the full game is out and its bad you have all the fkn right to complain, but dont come here complaining about a BETA, which is made to FIX all those things you dont like... if you dont like SOCOM from day 1 (socom1) the dont even try the new one, because it will probably resemble the other versions....

I love Socom as much as the rest, but they are let down city.

The game should look and run like warhawk which is next gen, but be socom

Once again Ghost who? lol. But really yesterday load times for me was no more than 5 min for a 16vs16. And that is quite a turn around from a day prior where load times were from 10 to 20 mins. But none the less once in a good game it makes up for it totally:) And also people not liking it is prolly the ones in those dang respawn games lol, Socom is meant to be played tactically and respawns take that whole point out of the equation. But if your one of the ones that complain about Socoms gameplay then what made you think you were going to like this ones gameplay? It is almost on the mark of Socom2, so I say the gameplay is awesome, and couldn't have asked for more from a gameplay perspective. And the rest of the issues will be fixed prior to release or want be a issue on the final release. And not only that but from some aritcles I've read in PSM it sounds that they were impressed by the graphics especially on such a early build. So I'm even wondering if we're even playing on a final build of the game anyway.

But as of right now after getting off of Socom, I'm thinking when I can get back on. I haven't had an addiction like that since cod4.

look, i understand this game isn't quite finished but damn, they could at least clean it up more before they release a public beta (more like a fing demo) for it. the load time before each match alone makes me want to cancel my preorder. between the bugs and crap servers its just a sloppy mess that needs to be in development for another year or two. not to mention the game plays like a 3 wheeled dump truck. i'll stick to ghost recon for my tatical shooter fix thank you. great job slant six...ninjaxams

Stop your bishing... it's a Public Beta. This is a "testing" period, so please... stop bishing and enjoy a Sunday filled with Football. As for Beta's though, I thought Cod4 was incredible.

From the moment when i start the game it took me about 20 mins to a half to get into a match. since they released the patch the other week it has been taking me about only ten minutes to get into a match. That is not nearly as bad. This is the beta and i believe people had their expectations set high and maybe it didnt quite meet them yet. I so far love this game and will be playing it for months on after its release. If you just downloaded it of course all is not going to go smooth for about a week. When the game finally releases they will be in the last stage of fixing all the bugs and server connection issues and will will still indeed need some work but this game does seem promising for many of us REAL SOCOM FANS. The GRAW series on PS3 is a joke playing online on PS3 IMO. If you want tactical stick to MGS4.

I found out that if you chose a region that is closer to you the wait time is between 2-5 minutes and in game is pretty smooth majority of the time.

So far I'm enjoying the game. All they need to fix is loading times and few glitches with lag frames.

The whole POINT of a beta is to address these issues and everything tc. I dont think youve been in other betas, and if you did...You would remember the SOCOM 2 beta was total garbage..Not even playable compared to this.

Exactly the Beta isn't for your enjoyment... Its only so the developers can trick you into doing some of the Job that they usually pay $12 and hour to testers. Err.. I mean its so they can work out those very bugs you're complaining about so when you actually pay money for this game it works fine.
