lol, this is no excuse, but I have a brother who is on this stupid account all the time cause he figured out my password. Hence my long list of moderation history for the, uh...not so pretty posts. But, he only wants a 360 cause his friend has one and he plays it over at his house. My friend also has one, and you know what? I think I'm starting to sway to the darkside....*sighs* but how can you blame me? I go back to college in September and have the time off recovering from an illness. I would like to game it up, but I already completed Resistance 100% and really,there are good games both out and coming soon for the 360....so.....you know....I'm not trying to support or troll for 360. Nope nope, what I'm trying to do is figure out if this $600+ investment was the right thing to do. Besides, these reports for Sony firing staff and cancelling the 20GB, not too mention the declining sales, as someone who just invested what I did into the system, that's not good to see.

And as far as the 6 month thing goes....they purposely released this thing in the middle of 360's reign...they needed to start out with a bang, not like it is the brand new thing in gaming, cause it's not...I think that may be the biggest reason why it's not selling *sighs* I really, really hope Lair completely turns my opinion around.....

it's funny that you say that the PS3 was lagging 1.5 years behind the competitor and thinking it is brand new. you know what thats funny? because now the competitor is releasing ANOTHER console version just to keep up with the "brand new" console. So I think it's safe to say that the PS3 is "brand new" since the competitor is trying to match it.eclipsed4utoo

I personally enjoyed this 1.7 Update but even if it disappointed me, I'd take a couple of disappointing store updates over a company who is so uncertain in their product as to release a newer version just 18 months after launch. I'd take that to be an ominous sign too. 

Well they are in a category for PS1 games for PSP. It doesnt clain that they will work on the PS3.budboarder

If you're refering to the NHL game, it freezes after every 10 or so games in the third period of franchise mode. I updated the rosters as I went though, maybe that's doing it. W/e, No more Ryan Smyth for me, now I get Nilson! wOoT!

Dan....so following your theory here Ford, GM, Chrysler etc etc etc should be done.  You are aware that when they lay off, fire, shuffle etc employees in numbers in the thousands and ocassionally that can hit ten plus thousand.  Closed up and padlocks on the door.  Do you have ANY idea how many people are employed by Sony?  God man get a clue, grow up and stop whining.  You are trying to recover from an illness and this is your big problem????  No calling all cars?  Sony sucks after 6 months?? They are going under they have to let 160 people go!!

I agree the elite is an example of either Sony's supremacy or MS's greed, and I have stated many times that it will probably in all honesty be a bit of a failure, if not a large one. Still, the Elite only means that the 20GB version will become cheaper.....lol, jk, good point, you got me there.

a) Sony needs to confirm it

b) I'm pretty sure Sony would drop the 60GB unit down to $500 and make the 80Gb unit $600 

What happened to Super Rub-a-Dub? How about Calling All Cars? How many freaking media outlets have to announce these games as a April 19th release date for you to actually let us download the freaking things Sony? Coming Soon? Eat me! I don't want trailers, I'm sick of trailers! Give me games! If you're not going to give me any worth buying until June and July then at least give me my downloadables when you say they're coming out. I personally enjoyed this 1.7 Update but even if it disappointed me, I'd take a couple of disappointing store updates over a company who is so uncertain in their product as to release a newer version just 18 months after launch. I'd take that to be an ominous sign too.

I know, I know, baising it on those firings isn't the best thing to base it on, but that's a bad sign....

And as far as the 6 month thing goes....they purposely released this thing in the middle of 360's reign...they needed to start out with a bang, not like it is the brand new thing in gaming, cause it's not...I think that may be the biggest reason why it's not selling *sighs* I really, really hope Lair completely turns my opinion around.....

I may not know how to run a business (according to you guys) but that's a little steep to happen all at once due to changing times....give me the position/s, and then we'll say. Dan....so following your theory here Ford, GM, Chrysler etc etc etc should be done.  You are aware that when they lay off, fire, shuffle etc employees in numbers in the thousands and ocassionally that can hit ten plus thousand.  Closed up and padlocks on the door.  Do you have ANY idea how many people are employed by Sony?  God man get a clue, grow up and stop whining.  You are trying to recover from an illness and this is your big problem????  No calling all cars?  Sony sucks after 6 months?? Well, if I do jump ship, I'll make sure to come back when the system is good and kick my self in the ass for all of you to see. While I haven't done so yet, I'm just saying. Trust me, I want to stay with Sony, but you know....I would like a game or maybe a promise of a release date to be upheld for a change?
