so there might be a chance that we will never be able to play music in a game.....i hate you sony!d_ano
sony already built the ps3 to play music in a game, if the developer of the game you're playing actually programs that feature into the game like xbox 1 games had, you would be able to do it, its not sonys fault, they did their part. but developers are lazy and all the games for ps3 right now suck anyway.

No Sony has said they are working on in-game XMB in a comment in the PS Blog. However, that doesn't mean that we will see it in an update known as 2.0 or that it will come this month. Those two parts of it are speculation.
They are working on in-game XMB though.

well there is another console that will allow you to play your own music and access the menu in game if the ps3 is the best thing out for games then why cant it do that?
but anyway i prefer to believe the rest of you about it being the 2.0 update even if they cant manage the xmb in the 2.00 update i realy hope they can let you read messages in game because its a joke that you have to quit a game to read a message

The XMB is massive, accessing it ingame would be plain and simple "Stupidity"[QUOTE="justifythegame"][QUOTE="d_ano"]so there might be a chance that we will never be able to play music in a game.....i hate you sony!d_ano

In game XMB is what i believe you all are talking about - which will allow you to use you XMB, which means you can access your music files. But the ps3 was already built so that games can access those music files and use them - like xbox 1 did. Developers don't care and just haven't used it yet.
So who said the ps3 is the best thing out for consoles? sony and developers have a long way to go and make use of the system and prove it.
I agree its a joke we have to quit the game to read messages.
360 has so many cool features that ps3s xmb doesn't have, of most interest to me which is divx support. Sony better make my money worth it add all the missing features from 360 in the 2.0 update.
