I have decided to get a PSP 3000, however one last question lingers. I have the money to purchase 3 games. I have an idea of what i want, but before i jump the gun i want one last imput. Out of this list which 3 would you suggest?

FF Crisis Core

Castlevania: Drac X

Megaman: Maverick Hunter X

Twisted Metal

Monster Hunter (Also suggest which one is best)

Star Ocean

Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce.

Phantasy Star

Syphon Filter (also suggest which ones better)

Fifa 09

Which 3 of those should it be. I'm pretty set on FF Crisis Core, however my mind is open for change. If there are any that i dont have on that list that you truly think should be there please tell me. Btw i'm mostly interested in Real Time RPGS NOT TURN BASED ONES. Thanks for the help.

Ok so I can at least shed some light on phantasy star and monster hunter, if you were looking at phantasy star portable that is. Phantasy star portable is much easier and bright colors, but still lots of fun. While Monster hunter is a tough one and is based a lot more on player skill than player level. I have both, love both but put more time in monster hunter because there is more to do with gathering and slaying to get that new weapon or armor piece. Also I would say Monster Hunter freedom unite, because its just an expanded version of freedom 2 and I know freedom 1 didnt have as many weapon types. Also the most people will be playing unite on the ad-hoc mode.

Get Crisis Core, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, and... well I wouldn't get any of the others, but if you insist, get Castlevania. (I would get PANGYA: Fantasy Golf instead)

Definitely Crisis Core. I am quite sure that it will take all your time and you won't need to buy another one untill you finish it. But if you insist on buying 3 , i wolud suggest Silent Hill : Origins , if you like horror games. If i had to choose among the ones on your list , i would say Monster HunterFreedom Unitesince it's an action RPG.I ' ve heard ,howener, many people saying it's either a "love it" or "hate it" game , so you may want to rent it first.

"Twisted Metal" is a good one and I have a friend who plays a TON of "Fifa 09" and loves it - excellent graphics and gameplay... and there are LOTS of good games... try not to listen to the over-the-top negative BS about the rest of your choices being a bad call. Every gamer has unique tastes. Some people just think they know what's good for the rest of us and make blanket statements condemning the lot because they have no interest. Go with your heart (and a few reviews here or there), it'll rarely steer you wrong.

Personally I would get - FF: CC, Phantasy Star and Star Ocean. Although thats three major RPGS which will take up a lot of time, maybe another genre of game to break up the RPGness. But then again if your partial to a good RPG or 2 I would go with them.

Crisis Core definitely, Fifa 09 (sports games are a great way to provide breaks from an RPG/anything with a story), Syphon Filter (Logan's Shadow is the newest, probably the best for online play, but you should start with Dark Mirror if you want to get the full experience of the story/characters). You don't have a racing game on that list, maybe you don't like them, but Midnight Club: LA Remix and Burnout Legends are both really awesome.

I second the bolded. Depending on your tastes you'll probably enjoy some of the games more than others. But personally the castlevania title, Monster Hunter, which you might as well go with Monster Hunter Freedom United seeing as it's the newest and probably better of all in the series and Star Ocean sound the most appealing.. I haven't play any of those titles, albeit, but would be the ones I'd pick up. I've played Final Fantasy Crisis Core and I can't say I enjoyed it as much as I thought as I would.

Thank you, Athens. There are games on every gamer's shelf that would raise an eyebrow to someone else... the amount of poo slung on this forum concerning titles which aren't "Big & Famous" is embarrassing. We as gamers should know already that an open mind is how we found things like "Crisis Core" and the whole FF series in the first place... but these are not the only games in town.

And I agree with your "Castlevania" comment too... those games are always a handfull of fun with a ton of depth and secrets to uncover. I also commend the post about racing games and "BurnOut" series, GREAT games.
