Why, oh why does this have to happen? It just so happens that on April 19th, two of my most anticipated games of 2011 will be released in stores. Mortal Kombat and Portal 2. The problem is, I only have enough money to purchase one of them on April 19th. Which one should I get? I'm so extremely upset by this. Why would these game publishers allow this? This is madness!Bio-Infinite
Because most gamers can afford them? How about just renting them? Isn't that cheaper? If you want to get one, get the one you want more, if they are equal, get the one which'll over more playtime for you. Of and we ha a thread for this kind of questions here
If, sometime in the future, you have to decide whether or not a close family member comes off life support or not... will deciding what video game to buy still be toughest decision you've ever had to make?

Or strut your stuff on the corner. Your choice.
Portal 2, not only do you get the PS3 one but you also get the PC one for free when you buy it on PS3 (you get a code for steam) Also Portal 2 has co-op, map editor, funny and great story, and it really makes you think, and one of those games that make you say "Yea, I just beat that level" once you beat a really hard one. Portal 2 all the way
Can you buy the PS3 version, get the steam code for the PC version and then trade the PS3 copy in? And then use that trade in credit to get mortal kombat.l0veOh snap. I didn't even think about that. Wonder how that's gonna work?
Both because K-Mart is having a buy 2 get a $60 gift card that week :) So it's basically buy 2 get 1 free whenever you wantChaos_Bladez
Looks like I'll be buying some games on April 19th. This is pretty much the equivalent of a B2G1. I freakin love those sales haha. I've bought like 20 0r 30 games using B2G1
i think you should go for mortal kombat i think its gonna have more replay value and such. Portal 2 looks great too but i think once you finish the game and figure out all the puzzles there really wont be any incentives to play it anymore.
Well, if I were you, I'd most definently buy Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat. Mostly because I live in Aus and MK is banned here even to import it. :/
Yeah, I'm with you on that. Not a MK fan at all and P2 looks like a blast to play! Not a tough decision for me. Portal 2 all the way. Absolutely no interest in Mortal Kombat.

Play Duty Calls, its so much better, though its like 3 months old lo, its free though, jking :P
Go with Portal Kombat 2: The Calm Before The Storm

Just called the closest K-Mart. The guy said he hasn't heard anything on this. He told me to talk to the dept. manager but he doubts that he's heard anything on it too. Do you have a link or something for this? I'm really interested in getting MK and possibly another game now.I swear that the Kmart by my house is in the Bermuda Triangle. Every time I go there trying to take advantage of an advertised deal, they never know anything about it. People complain about Wal-Mart a lot, but in my experience, Kmart is 10 times worse when it comes to customer service.

Maybe the poster doesn't have enough for both games. I don't know why people are getting smart saying things like, "most gamers can buy both." $120 plus tax is a lot of money to spend on games. I barely by games at $60 anymore. Not everyone has a lot of extra money to throw around. I personally would go with Mortal Kombat because I am a fan and for all the content within the game. MK looks like one of the best fighters this generation.
The poster has to figure this out for himself. A fighting would be better depending on whether or not he has friends that also like fighters. If he is a solo gamer, then Portal 2 might be the better option.
Thats unfortunate, but it does happen now and again with me too. I'm not interested in either of them, so I couldn't really vote for which one you should get first.
