Is The Usual Suspects a good blu-ray to get? I don't know if I should get the DVD or blu-ray version or it. Can anyone comment on the quality/content of the blu-ray version vs the DVD version?

Also, would the DVD version look kinda like the blu-ray with the PS3 upscaler?

imo it's not among the most impressive blu-ray releases. so i say go with the DVD.

also, i recommend Apocalypto on blu-ray if you don't already have it. looks amazing.

personally, i'd rather just pay the extra $10 or so and get the blu-ray. regardless of how it looks compared to other blu-rays, it'll still look a lot better than a dvd. if you have the technology, why not take advantage?

Apocalypto? To each their own, but personally, I could not even get half way through that movie. I just could not get into a bunch of savage Mayans with horrible teeth, wearing dirty g-strings in the jungle, being savagely murdered by other savages. Mel Gibson's worst movie in my opinion by far, as I could not even stay interested for half of the flick.

That movie is actually pretty decent 8/10, not like DOA.

Apocolypto was an excellent movie

- a little fact- Did You Know? that all of the people had never been in front of a camera. All the actors were native to that area Mel Gibson worked with each individual one.

As for The Usual Suspect I would buy it on DVD fantastic movie. Check out your local Blockbuster they are beging to rent Blu Ray in store

Ah well, to each their own. I just could not get into it at all. I guess I have more of the "Braveheart" sort of expectations when it comes to a Mel Gibson flick.

"Mel Gibson's worst movie"?

last time i checked, Apocalypto got an A+ from every major critic. not making it Mel Gibson's worst movie but rather one of his very best. you are right though, to each their own. ;)

Except Rudy Youngblood was in Spirit: Seventh Fire, Jonothan Brewer was in DreamKeeper and Morris Birdyellowhead was in Broken Trail and into the West, that's 3 of the main actors gone right there

I said IN MY OPINION it was his worst movie. Also, I do not care how much the critics liked it, it does not make me wrong just because I disagree.....it just means I simply disagree. And I am sure that I am far from the only one.

If I always listened to critics, I would have missed out on a ton of great movies, books, music and even games which they hated, but I ended up loving. And vice versa, alot of the media that they praise, is complete rubbish according to other individuals preferences. As far as Mel Gibson flicks go, I will take an epic like 'Braveheart' anyday, which in my opinion, is his masterpiece.
