Can't say I agree. The series was good for entries 1 and 2, then Chains of Olympus, (only because it was a novelty to see God of War done right on a handheld platform.) But by the time 3 rolled around, the franchise was beginning to run out of steam. And then Ghost of Sparta was released and did little to change the "been there, done that" feeling that had already started to sink in from the last game.

Honestly, I think the series has had itself a good run, but needs to end before it gets anymore stale.

I think yes. It also should get an exclusive InFamous, Rachet and Metal Gear.

How exactly are we being negative? If you want to see a God of War title on the Vita, that's fine. But not everyone is sure to be in the same boat.

Don't really want God Of War but something like it, Like Darksiders or something along the lines of a Hack And Slash Action Adventure game.

There will be one, eventually. Of that I have no doubt. What the Vita needs more than anything is announcements and trailers of these games to get people excited and drum up 3rd party support. It doesn't matter if the games are several years out, as long as they get interest going.

I think we'll probably see a GOW Vita game one day, but hopefully Sony keeps working on older IPs that need new games first like MediEvil, Ape Escape, etc.

It's really kind of frustrating how little Sony seems to be supporting the Vita. Like how the tenth anniversary edition of GTA3 was released on PSN. How awesome would it be to be able to play that on the go on your Vita. I mean hell its even on mobile phones, and Sony cant make it happen on the Vita? Thats ridiculous. And now they're coming out with a new God of War collection for PS3. I realize that God of War 3 would have to be scaled down to be able to play on the Vita, but why cant they atleast remake the first two to be playable on the Vita? Idk Vita is struggling right now and Sony really isnt helping it at all. I've had a Vita since launch and i havent played it since about 2 weeks after that.

I think Sony are supporting the Vita well. They have a good list of games out already, and they have already announced games which in my opinion would attract more people to the vita. And the biggest thing of all .. the crossbuy program. This is an excellent idea from Sony and I'm sure many game publishers will want to become part of this deal, as it would also ensure more popularity in their games, and for sony it would only raise sales for the Vita.

I wouldnt mind a GoW game but ther are many other existing IPs that I want to see first on the vita. A new infamous (preferably a proper sequel) MGS, Gran Turismo, Patapon, Loco Roco, GTA, etc. I am just burned out on GoW and would like some other high quality AAA title

I would like a God of War installment on the PSvita. But it is unlikely until God of War 4 is released.

Supporting it well? They have a very mediocre list of games out right now, and the games that were supposed to be their big hitters (franchises like uncharted and resistance) were underwhelming when compared to their console counterparts. Now the same developer responsible for resistance on the vita is making call of duty for vita, which doesn't sound promising. It's also taken them a very long time to allow psOne classics on it. Idk they could have done a lot more in my opinion. My vita just collects dust as it is now.

I think that GoW would really benefit from the 2nd analog stick on the Vita. I would love to see the GoW collection on Vita as well.

Ovirew

Too bad most Ape Escape games are exclusive to Japan. Oh man, that would be wonderful to have in the US.

If I was a fan of God of War, and I'm not, why in the hell would I want it to be on the Vita? If I was a fan I would want to play it on my big TV, in a comfortable position, with the best controller. When I play a game on a handheld I don't want to be thinking, wow, this would be a lot better on a console. If you put a mainstream series on a portable device I would want it done like Metal Gear Acid, something like a spin off that isn't taking a hit because of the hardware or controls. I don't want to see something like Metal Gear Portable Ops, the PSP God of War games, or Valkyria Chronicles 2. I don't want the developers of great series wasting time and resources when they can be doing something better. Maybe if it was done by someone else like the Uncharted game for the Vita, but then we are likely to just end up with a lower quality game in all areas.

I'm not a fan of God of War either, but I have the opposite sentiment about console-like releases. Isn't that why you buy a Vita? For the beautiful screen and dual analog sticks? If not for console-style gaming, than what? Besides, the two PSP versions of God of War weren't done by Sony Santa Monica, they were done by Ready at Dawn, the studio behind Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters, and Secret Agent Clank. So it is possible to have a portable version of AAA console titles without compromising quality or occupying the original studio, even if it is hard to find developers that are up to par.

Those GoW games on the PSP were amazing. Just imagine if they were to make one for the Vita...

How dare you. Valkyria Chronicles 2 was awesome :x It's just that I never get why people think, "Just because it's a good game it should be on a console, not a handheld." Handhelds need their fair share of good games too.

Ready At Dawn, who made both God of War PSP titles, has actually already said that they aren't making a Vita God of War, even though they were asked. They've decided to start making a next-generation console title. Exciting news, but not so much for Vita owners hoping for a God of War game.
