The PS3 needs as many system updates as possible. That said, I couldn't imagine what they'd possibly be working on in a future update. Maybe they'll add avatars since where in a time where most stuff is being copied and pasted!
It wasn't that long ago. I don't know why people go nuts over an update.
Unless something "ground breaking" was announced by Sony, you kiddies need calm down and get those attention spans in order. Or stare at a shiny quarter all day or something.

That would pretty much put PSN on par with live in my books too. The only other thing I would like is the ability to mute screaming singing little kids.
Really i have no complaints over the updates.. (yes i want cross game chat ect.. they will get to it when they get to it..) What i can't wait for is when on the xmb, the controller battery pops up on top of the clock.. That is really annoying and such an easy fix, which is probably why it aggravates me even more..

Thats what i think, but remember PSN is free so it would take the cake imo.
well the more time it takes to program an update, probably means the better the changes.
i think with all this time maybe they will fix the clock

This the clock never works you say update by interent and it's an hour slow update it yourself and it'll mess up and be 10 minutes or so slow, it really annoys me:x
Sit through 10 minutes....System Updates aren't as long as you think...ofcouse if you are still running on Dial up to people say they sit through 45 minutes of an update >_>
I just want cross game voice chat and i want ps2 backwards compatibility. That would really drive ps3 sales up in combination with the seemingly inevitable ps3 slim
That would be good. I would say there hasn't been a good update in forever. 2.5 was the last good update and that was almost a year ago. The last few have sucked really hard and it kind of makes me mad they don't add features that most people want. I really hope 2.9 is a good one.
hopefully they've been chiling under the radar working to bring us PS2 Compatibility through SOFTWARE EMULATION!!!! perhaps that patent had meaning? Then i'll finally be able to play me some star wars battlefront II !!!!!!
