There should be a ps3 mmorpg.

Anyone know of any Phantasy Star or any other MMORPGS coming to the PS3? With all the high definition I believe this is the console system that could actually do it correct :) I remember when True Fantasy ( I believe that was the title) was announced for X-box but got canned. I was pretty excited for that game. But ya, does anyone know of anything like that coming to ps3 ever? :P

i've seen a couple of MMORPG's currently in devolpment on the to be released list.. but unless you don't have to pay a monthly fee i am not intrested.. AT ALL.. never enjoyed mmorpgs that much..

I would like to see a diablo 2 remake for ps3 i think that would be awesome.

I posted a couple weeks ago saying how i think the ps3 needs an mmorpg for the fact alone that this is the only system with a guaranteed hdd with every system an mmorpg would do really good on this system

If you want a real MMO experience, you have to pay for it. If you want a fake MMO experience, you don't. This is why WoW is so much better than Guild Wars. Your money actually goes to keeping hundreds of servers providing service to, in WoWs case, millions of people, properly maintained. They aren't just milking you for money. When you play a game with a monthly fee you can see what the difference is.

My idea for a PS3 MMO would just be something like Marvel: UA meets City of Heroes. Create your own hero like in COH, but in a beat-em-up style like Marvel: UA. Just deep enough to customize characters and have some good "loot" to boost your stats, but not deep enough to have trade skills, purchase houses, etc. Just something fun you could play with a lot of people. Combine COH with MUA and a dash of WoW, you have a pretty sweet game. 

I also hope we get loads of RTSs on the PS3 as well. :Dchubear700

an mmorpg is actually in the works for the ps3, its called dc universe...just like their is an mmorpg coming for the xbox360 called marvel universe...this should be interesting. I kind of wanted sony to have the marvel universe. I feel they have some interesting heroes to choose from. But i guess i wouldnt mind being Batman 8)Joshua102888

I think in that kind of game you would have to definately create your own super hero. I mean who wants to see thousands of batman running around? Anyways I would love to see a good mmorpg like Ultima Online goto ps3. I am not saying actually putting ultima online but like an MMORPG close to it. 

SOE is working on some kind of spy/mercenarie MMO that will be on PS3 and possibly 360. Square-Enix is rumored to be working on another MMORPG and that will probably make its way to PC, 360, and PS3. Don't forget that FFXI is playable on a PS3 too. shady_825
