they do mean the save data right? not the actual game i know its not really possible to play a ps3 game on a psp but they do mean game saves right?

I read it on playstation.com and it sounded like you can actually play the games. I don't know what, or how that will work. Since I don't have a PS3 I'll have to go to my friend's house and try it out. G4s89

well obviously you can't play ps3 games on the psp.  the PSP is just barely on-par with the ps2.  PS1 games bought from sony store through the PS3 though, as everyone has mentioned, is capable of being played on the PSP's ps emulator though.
