Things I've learned about PS3 ownership

Steps to Gaming Paradise:

0. Buy a PS3

1. Buy an HDTV

2. Get an HDMI cable off monoprice, and use

3. Attach your PS3 to your PC through a router

4. Put all your videos movies and songs on Windows Media Player 11's library

5. Enable streaming to your PS3 from Windows Media Player 11 (look on the internet, it's worth it!)

6. Buy Uncharted, COD4, SSHD, ES, Resistance, RnCF, Warhawk, Gripshift, Tekken 5: DR

I'm in some kind of gaming nirvana right now after doing all this. The PS3 has become an all-in-one digital paradise for me, where I watch videos off my pc, watch blurays, listen to music and play games on it, online or offline. While not perfect yet (still weird song organization), I can really see this console being something everyone should buy. It is a tragedy that people aren't doing these things. With a somewhat better community experience, I'd safely say this would be the perfect console. Here's a cheers to 2008 and progress!

Those games are just a recommendation, but they're all great games! Ninja Gaiden Sigma's great also, and AC is supposed to be awesome in small doses. Whatever games float your boat man. Even in Jericho is your favourite game, power to you bro.

i do have a WiFi router, but i prefer cable connection. My computer and Ps3 are pretty close to each other so it's not a big deal, and the connection is both faster and more stable. Both methods work fine though.

for some reason my WMP for ps3 only detects my bearshare songs in my pc WMP

because i also use limewire and a website to dl music then transfer to WMP on my pc

but then my ps3 will only detect the bearshare songs for some reason

That sounds very odd, and I'm not sure i can provide an easy answer for you since it could be so many different things. I recommend you first set automatic folders for updating your WMP, as it's both easier and could possibly be screwing things up. I also recommend you check in your PS3 settings that you have WMA and ATRAC enabled, as that was a problem for me. The thing is the PS3 can be a all in one entertainment hub without adding a lot extra components sitting all around it. All that's needed is a good HDTV and a good surround sound system.jimm895

It's the way to do things! Lets you have great games or watch videos while on instant messaging or surfing the net. Like I said, the PS3 is a do-everything-cool box.
