Dude...

You already made one thread, one is enough.

Secondly, if your HDD is done for (yellow light of death) then I doubt you'll be accomplishing much with any type of computer to try and back up data.

Now lets look at this from a logical standpoint.

You know that your sister is coming home with her MAC. Therefore, YOU, yes YOU, will be able to try it out for yourself when she arrives.

Why do you need to create a thread ahead of time to find out if it will work or not, when YOU WILL FIND OUT as soon as she arrives?

Either way, I highly doubt it.

I highly doubt it.

Mac's are worse then PC's for recovering data since there's no good programs compatible with them.

Im curious as to

1. What version of windows are you running?

2. Did you get errors after connecting to your pc?

3. If it wasnt visible and your using XP or later you should go to control panel- admin tools - computer management - disk manager - if it inst showing here I seriously doubt a mac is going to make a difference.

You should be right clicking the bar part which shows the partition. Also is it showing anything in this area?

I think the problem is you have to formatt it for window's to read it as a usable HDD, it's the same when you buy a new HDD you need to format it(some new hdd comes pre-formatted for windows).

Im not sure but i think PS3 uses a different type of format for the hdd so you will never be able to read data/copy etc from windows untill you formatt it then its too late.

Unless a mac uses the same format as a ps3 does i dont think it will work but im not sure which formats for particions a mac uses.

Basicly i think your s**t out of luck sorry and you will lose you save data etc unless you the mac works.
