Seems a bit likely. The PS2 slim was intoduced 4 years after the original PS2. The PS3 was introduced back in Nov 2006, so it's possible we'll see the slim in late 2010.

Then again, consoles are very different from last generation, and I'm sure the PS3 is much more complex than the PS2. But I'd definitely like to see a slimmer, cheaper model, even if it means no HDD due to the decreased console size. I don't mind much using memory cards.

Id guess that we will see a slim PS3 end of 2009 or during 2010.

Since it looks like the new 80gb PS3's might be using 65nm RSX's now...

Lol these "memory cards" that you talk about are very strange... i've seen memory cards with 16gb of memory but ppl usually use the 1 or 2gb ones.... by 2010 who knows i think 16gb its more than enough for manditory installs.

But remember sony's cycle PS3 is supposed to last 10 years... they dont want the console to be a hit in its later years... it'll be like what happened to the PS3 and PS2... Ps2 sales were higher than the PS3 just after the console was released. 2010 sounds nice
