hello everyone....

I`ve had a fat 80gb ps3 since MGS4 release (so I think is the old 80Gb)... the poor thing is starting to do funny sounds, freezing with games like dragon age (thought I read that this may be a game-based issue) and so on. My ps3 has some signature, including, hideo kojima so i will like to put it to rest and save it as a "functional collection" before it dies... and beside is old :P

I read this faqs here plus the sony website, still have question:

1. The 320Gb seems to be the biggest, and for a 50US$ difference compare to the preview one of 250Gb seems worth it. Have you heard of any issue with that model? higher rate if YLOD? by the faqs it seems that all slim have a very low rate of it, and equal among them.

2. I think all my games installed on my current ps3 are save/attach to my PSN account, right? so...

- would i be able to have my same PSN ID and account on the new one?

- would i be able to redownload whatever game I want again and reinstall it on the new one? e.g. deathspank baconing, x-men arcade, dead nation....

- does anyone know if I can move all save file from the "cloud system" into the new one (main concern are dragon age and DEMON souls)

3. once I have the new one, I can move all data/save file/profile... by just starting the new ps3 with a "restore" from the old ps3 (save on a external HD)

PS. is a shame the BC is not there any longer...

Thank you!!!! any input really appreciated. :)

1. From what I've heard, the phat PS3's are the most likely to get the YLOD.

2. Trophies are the only thing attached to your PSN ID. You can use your PSN ID on a new PS3, though.

-Yes, you will be able to re-download all of the stuff from the PSN for free. There is no limit on how many times you can download the stuff that you bought.

-Yes, you will be able to transfer your save files by using the cloud system

3. Yes

Yeah you should be fine, once you buy the new ps3 when you first turn it on, it will ask you if your a current or new member, click old and just re-input your password and your good to go, trophies will resync. Just as if you download itunes on a new laptop, sign in with your name and things should reinstall with no problem. But definetly keep the auto graph ps3, i saw the pic you had for it, definetly hold on to that as a collectors item, and in case of emergency, spare parts :-)
