So, im thinking about picking up a ps3, but my friend told me to that if i move my ps3 from an HD to a SD tv, then back to HD, then it wont work anymore and it must get "reset" or just wont work anymore. Is this true? it sounds kinda false, but i just want to know to sure. if this is false, then look for me on PSN soon! 8)

um no all it takes is a simple change in the display settings. your friend sounds pretty stupid to me, no offense. oh yeah and as a first game, i would suggest inFAMOUS. looks top notch.

when going from 1080p to a SD.. the screen will stay black but you will hear sound.. you just need to hold the button in the front.. it will make a beep meaning it's turning on.. keep holding it and it will do a double beep meaning the display settings are back to default..

No offense, but your friend = dumb.

If you set your PS3 to HD mode, of course if you change to a SDTV it won't display any image. All you have to do is :

option a : Change the display mode before changing from HD to SD.

Option B : If you forget to change from HD to SD, and have already plugged PS3 to the SDTV, simply put your finger in the power button while on and let it beep. This will put PS3 back to the default display option, which is SD.

If PS3 is in SD mode, it will work with a HDTV. So don't worry, your PS3 won't brake because you forgot to change a couple of options.

You better get one! This fall's looking really good. Starting now with Infamous, the good games should be rolling in. We've got Red Faction Guerilla, Bionic Comando, Fuel, Prototype, Ghostbusters, Fight Night 4, UFC... All for the summer and then this fall the action really starts with Assassin's Creed 2, Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted 2, Dark Void, Fat Princess, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, the new Ratchet game, hopefully GOW3 although that may be spring next year, Red Dead Redemption, Alpha Protocol, Brutal Legend... those are some of the ones I personally am interested in. And don't forget to catch up on the backlog games you've missed, especially if you don't have a 360

Yeah Brutal Legend the Jack Black game. I don't know... I haven't really checked out any trailers or anything but it was discussed on some podcast and they seemed to be pretty pumped so it got me interested.

It looks so over the top and crazy and the fact that Tim Schaefer is making it lends it some credibility

*Also, I don't want all those games... They're just some that I think will be pretty solid from a variety of genres
