will it work on my tv that i used for my ps2 without having to buy anything extra?

also will it work on my computer monitor without having to buy anything extra?

i plan on getting the $600 one if that makes any difference

yes it works on SDTV without extra
and yes it works on monitor WITH extra, VGA box for VGA monitors, HDMI/DVI for DVI monitors

Yes, your PS3 will work on an ordinary TV. But the games and movies will look much better if you have a HDTV.NazzyQ

SD is ok for Ps3

But for full visual experience you have to use HDTV
