Thinking of getting a PSP...

So I'm thinking about buying a PSP. It's the only gaming system that my bf and I don't own. I actually used to have one but I sold it about 2 years ago. I only had it for a month before I sold it so I never got a feel for the system.

So before I buy it, I was wondering if, in general, PSP games have a decent length to them. I like games that I can play for at least 20-30 hours before they are beaten. Short games just feel like they aren't worth the time or money.

If anyone could shed some insight I'd appreciate it.

Long PSP games were hard to find for me, because i wanted more length out of my games as well. I couldnt find anything worthwhile on the multiplayer side of things, and the media (movies, music) were worthless because i had an ipod which does these better while being smaller and easier to carry around. The only games on psp i honestly enjoyed (i sold mine recently) were the two grand theft autos. They are not only very close in quality to the last gen GTA's but are close in length as well. good luck and sorry if this doesnt help!

I mean you have quite a list that have games with atleast 20+ hours into them. God of War, MGS, Ratchet and Clank, Secret Agent Clack, and Daxter... That is just a very small list.Arthas045

RPGs and puzzle games are usually pretty long. I really enjoyed Jeanne D'Arc and am currently working through FF Crisis Core. The Syphon Filter games are pretty long too. Mind you that could just be me trying to unlock extras ;) If you're a pinball fan you absolutely MUST get Pinball Dreams - Williams Collection. It's a great pinball game with good physics and a good selection of tables. That's been keeping me constantly busy for the last few weeks.

As for the new PSP slim, I have to say that I was initially worried about going from my phat to it. The phat really felt solid but when I opened up the slim it felt more plasticy. After a few days I got used to the feel and I love it. It's noticeable lighter and thinner than the phat and just feels sexier. It also feels faster (just my impression...no timings) and I'm pretty sure that it's speakers are louder. I also like the fact that it can be charged via the USB cable (although you have to put the PSP into USB mode for that to happen).
