...do i have to play the first game before to enjoy the gameplay or the story?

Same here. But, it wouldn't hurt to read a few AC 1 summaries (but be wary of ACII spoilers!)Not at all, there's an explanation in the second one where they just tell you everything about the first one, I didn't play the first one and understood everything.

AC1 tells you more about Desmond, templars and other stuff i couldnt old my self so i played AC2 first but i dont think i missed anything
It would help in understanding the backstory of Desmond and such, but you could probably play though AC2 without playing 1. It'd be like playing MGS4 without playing MGS 1-3, you would probably understand the story you miss a few minor throwbacks to the previous ones.

That would be brain-suicide, to me at least. What makes MGS 4 such a satisfying game is to see what happens to all of your favorite (and happily hated) characters in what is basically the beautiful crescendo for this series. To me, that's like saying you can fully appreciate the Matrix Trilogy by ONLY watching the Matrix Revolutions, which we all know you can't8)
Nah it's allright, I played the 2nd one first and still haven't played the 1st onebut the 1st one focuses on the story of Altair and the back-ground story of Desmond and the 2nd one doesn't focus on Desmond like the 1st one and you barely use it 3 times in the 2nd one and it's not cool enough altough Ezio's story seems more interesting than Altair's if you ask myself. =)
