Thinking of trading my PS3 for....

a slight thought came over me today, and i would like your intake on this, now i know this is a PS crowd but, how do you guys feel on my decision in trading my PS3 with n ExBox 360 Elite?  is it worth the hard earned money i longfully saved for the ps3?

um no its not worth selling your ps3 now the elite is overpriced all it is a 360 painted black copying sony and witha  120gb hardrive that you can get for 80$ turned into 200$ with no hddvd etc its just a 360 painted black worthless with a hdmi port

That PS3 you possess right now is so much superior than 360, it's cell processors that is composed up to eight cores which gives opporturnity to recreate games that will look so much superior than a Xbox. Let the developers take time and they'll take advantage of all eight cores and you'll drop your jaws. :)

I'm in full agreement with the gentleman a few posts above me who said something like: "while you're at it, you might as well buy four" (Xbox elites)

The hardware failure rate of the 360 is astronomical. They're not using the newer, smaller chips in the elite, so expect the chance of you're little black box exploding into flames to be quite high.

I went through three as punishment for my impatience waiting for the PS3 (premiums, not elites. obviously). 

I don't understand the no good games argument either.  There are plenty of good games on the shelf as we speak.  Even more comming this month and next.

It is rude...But that is system wars stuff. Do not disrespect the consule forums now by making remarks like thoses

not to mention ALL of their accesories are proprietary only, which means if you want a keyboard and mouse, and webcam and headset, you have to buy the MS Xbox brand, which is usually made from inferior materials but they jack up the price because they own their own market.Bloodzombie77

So to make an Elite equivalent to the PS3: $479 for the system, plus $270 for HD-DVD and wireless = $749
If you wanna add the keyboard, mouse, webcam, add another $80-$100.....which brings us to roughly $850, give or take.

Wireless is going to cost you extra on the 360, which does suck.

HD-DVD add-on is $200. Here's a hint people, the format war between Blu-Ray and HD-DVD will NOT be decided for the next 2-3 years. Now if you seriously want to fight about a DISK that you're buying then by all means have at it. I'll be saving my money for the CLEAR winner of the format war and I'll not be purchasing any media for Blu-Ray or HD-DVD until such time. 

Anyone purchasing the 360 web-cam is just as retarded as anyone that picked up the Eye Toy and they should be struck in the back of the head with REALLY wet spit ball.

I own an Xbox 360 and while it will be a bittersweet moment to purchase the Elite. My HDTV demands HDMI, and the 120GB HD isn't bad at all if this IPTV takes off(something I'm lightly interested in).

Why even argue which system is better unless you actually OWN both?

I own both the 360 and the PS3 and there's absolutely nothing to buy right now for the PS3. My wife is currently playing Okami and FF XII on the PS3. We've played Resistance(borrowed from a co-worker) and it is a good game, but it's nothing awesome.

Until MGS4, GT 5, FF XIII come out there's nothing to be excited about.

There are plenty of games for the PS3. I only play Gears online on my 360 now, and thats only like on the weekend, briefly. I have been having a great time with my PS3, and so has my GF. I am patiently waiting for Ninja Gaiden, Heavenly sword, and Lair. There is a lot to be excited about for the PS3. You must prefer shooters, cause those are really the only good games on the 360. I really don't think the 360's library is all that. To each his own i guess.

Depends on your taste of games, i need the ps3 because i wanna play mgs4 the day it's out (same for ratchet and clank and gran turisimo) but if you don't really care for those games and wanna play halo and all the other xbox games go for the xbox!

You'll miss out on Home which looks awesome aswell:D
