im not going to convince you if you want it get it ps3 is better in the long run and overall your screwed anyways when the 360 elite comes out youll have to pick one or the other
I can only give good reasons, convince you, dunno: They system is hell of alot more reliable than anyother system, when you pick it up, you definetly feel like you got what you paid for, you might even take a moment and just stare at it and say wow, "damn its sleek". There will ultimately be a more variety of games than any other system when this gen is said and done...what games you like is up to...harddrive is upgradeable...blu-ray is a beauty, its so good to know that even your blu-ray game is scratched to hell, it'll still work....wireless controllers are easy to use, just plug and charge w/ a usb cord....the battery can last for 24hrs, and this comes in the box...and with the controller build it feels like true wireless, not like the 360 controller that feels like a battery pack strapped to the back of the controller...And the PS3 is the best system made to date in both versions, so don't let fanboys tell you any different....now go make a grown up decision and get yourself a PS3.
I'm switching, because my 360 is anoiing the living daylights out of me, I just wanna be able to play the games I buy, usualy I have to get a ton of patches just to get past the intro, then for some reason all the games that where already playable get severe freeze and other problems, leaving me with only half my games beeing playable. From what I heard about the PS3, it doesn't have those problems. Plus the whole region free thing on the PS3 is AWESOME.

I wouldn't call future games a good reason for buying any console. If that's the case, he could just wait to buy the system till those future games were out. By then the price may be lower.
I feel like I'm in the enemy camp here (:D) But seriously if you have games for your xbox360 then there really is no point in trading it in for a PS3. If you really want a PS3 then save up for one to go along side the 360 - If you traded it in you'd probably be wasting a lot more money than just the original price of the Xbox.
I advice you to get a PS3, its Future proof, reliable Hardware and multi-uses BUT check the exclusive games that are coming out and the other multiplatform games if you dont like them, then u wont be really having fun getting a ps3
its upto you, what do you wana play most? no point having two systems because in the end f the day your gonna be investing most of your money on one console for games etc. unless your rich and can keep buying new games for both then whatever but i traded in my 360 for a ps3 it cut $500 of the ps3 and i dont regret itÂ

me too I did it and i do not regret a single thing. i love every single ps3 game i have and i am currently enjoing it more that i did my old 360 before the trade in. Its just a matter of preference and my friend it is safe to say my preference has and always will be playstation :) the games just rock too much to ever leave it
Geez... these threads got old a long time ago. I think there should be a 'convince me' sticky for all future people who need convincing to refere to. All other similar threads should be deleted. But seriously, it's your money. Be a big boy (or girl) and decide what to with your own money. It's none of our business one way or the other.
Convince yourself, life is about making choices- choose not to be a follower and think for yourself.
Why trade it anyways, buy a PS3 and a Wii and keep your 360.

Yeah, I've got a PS3 and LOVE it. I have the Wii and well, that's mostly for my kids. I'm thinking about getting a 360 because I have friends that play Gears... and I would LOVE to play them online.
Get both...as a owner of both I can say that while the PS3 is the superior priece of hardware...currently I play my 360 a lot more as Resistance and Motorstorm are about the only games worth buying for the ps3 as the rest of the games are multiplats that look better on the 360. I look forward to what the ps3 will bring in the future, but 75% of my play time now is on the 360.
