Dark Souls getting a higher score than Uncharted 3 and Arkham City is completely laughable.

Just needed to vent that out real quick. I never make posts like this, but I just thought about it and it's hilarious that Dark Souls is considered superior compared to those two titles.

I agree with the TC. Yes it's all subjective and we all have different opinions but having played roughly 160 hours of Dark Souls and loving the game, it is unbelievable how high a score this game got... because it is FILLED with problems... grave problems and this game was reviewed by the same guy who gave ME2 on PS# a reduction in points because some people might not have an internet connection to get the interactive comic...

The problems in this game are several and significant. Multiplayer and PvP in particular is a broken mess and the fact that there exists an infinte souls glitch is inexcusable.

NO game that ships with this many problems is a 9.5.

Though it's a damn fine game

Dark Souls is one of my personal favorites of the year but it quite simply doesn't deserve a 9.5. There's too much input lag, slow down, and it's generally unpolished. Plus there are a lot of glitches and broken weapons, which just isn't good for something that promotes PVP and everyone ends up having the same equipment. It's great, but I don't think it deserves that score.

i dont think its laughable. its alot more complex, and its special, unlike any other game. UC3 is just a linear, easy, action movie. its a great game but not worth more than a 9 imo. arkham city is great, and i think it should rival DS.

I think Dark Souls got a pass on many things that any other game would have gotten reductions for simply because it's a "gamers game" and not really a big mainstream title... reviewers love that ****

But still the game lacks polish and like someone said above, in a game that not only promotes PvP but makes it an integral part of the single-player experience... it's not something that should be brushed aside. I got severely pissed off a few times when my first "ring of fog+tranquil walk of peace" invaders came along and don't even get me started on the horrendous lock-on system (for casters)...

And the infinite souls glitch that STILL hasn't been patched... That **** should have been patched within 24 hours of it circulating youtube.

Love the game to death but I wouldn't score it above 8.5 when I account for all the problems it has

It's an opinion of ONE person that, that ONE game does what it's good at.

i agree completely with that!

I don't take the Uncharted 3 score on gamespot seriously, it's from the same guy that gave Infamous 2 a 7.5, even though the game was far superior to the first game which he gave a 9 back in 2009. I always liked Tom Mc Shea, really enjoyed the hotspot, but after Infamous 2 review, I'm not even listening hotspot anymore and his reviews from now on are just useless, he lost all his credibility with me.

While it may seem that it is "superior" here in GS in reviews, In Metacritic, it shows that Batman AC at 97, UC3 at 93 are far more praised than DS at 89.

This may be the most ridiculous thing i've ever seen, a games quality is based on its replay value? Ummm..

All those FPS that ranked 8-9 scores were pretty laughable to me as well in the last couple years.

just because you dont like the game that doesnot mean it should score less..i hate prince of persia 2008 i thought it was crap but it scored 8.5 or something!!all iam trying to say is i dont have to like every game..every game out there is not for me..so get that into your head and move on!
