I'm more amped for KZ2 then I was for MGS4 in 08. Don't get me wrong now, I've always been a fan of the MG franchise and I did enjoy MGS4, it's just that from the gameplay vids and knowing people who where in the beta, I'm just alot more excited. A friend of mine who was in the beta told me that if I like COD4 then I will love KZ2... What are your thoughts people..??

Not that hyped to be honest. I'll maybe get it after the demo is released on the Store. I hated MGS4. I didn't play the other ones mind you, perhaps if I had done that I would have understood it more.

I was lucky enough to take part in the Killzone 2 beta and I can safely say Killzone 2 is going to give me 10 times more fun than Metal Gear IV. I don't think Metal Gear IV is a bad game, it's just not my cup of tea.

Meh... Killzone looks, and probably will be great, but I dont find myself hyped for it really at all. Shooters just aren't something to get hyped about to me.

Agreed...I've been playing MG since the PS1 days, even though I still love the franchise the gamplay wasn't always my biggest attraction to the series....and that's kinda my point the gamplay has evolved over the years but not by leaps and bounds. That's not to say that KZ2 will bring anything new to the table, it's just that it's the top shooter that the PS3 needs.

Along with RFOM I think that KZ2 with be the knock-out shooter for the PS3.

Its kind of a middle bridge for myself, the only thing so far that I know of Killzone 2 is that it offers phenomenal visuals, but that's about it.

MGS4 had outstanding story, as usual, unique stealth/action gameplay, superb voice acting and when it comes to in-game visuals and cut-scenes there really isn't it holds it own extremely well.

I'm not against Killzone 2 in any way, I'm personally looking forward to it as well. However, it will have to provide more then just visuals to warrant my money. I have learned long time ago that great games require many qualities.

On the other hand, it's a first person shooter. Just how much am I expecting that is so different then usual FPS?

I hope for good story, lengthy single player campaign. If that is done well, I'll be happy. ;)
