They are both great systems. 360 has a lot more good games right now, plus Xbox Live is awesome. PS3 has a lot of potential with Blu-ray and such.
Personally, I like the 360 the best, but expect PS3 to catch up and be equally awesome. I'm sure posting this in a PS3 forum will give you PS3 as the winner. :)
but ha if you want a system that you will be afraid to play more than 2 hours. and if you have a hd tv and you like hd movies then ps 3.GARRYTH
I've actually had a 15 hour playing spree at once on my Xbox 360 when I first got Bioshock. But you don't have to know what you are talking about whenever you post, right?
If you have an HDTV get a PS3...the benefits of having a Blu-Ray players and great upscaling DVD player are certainly something to think about.
Free online and games like Warhawk and Motorstorm make the PS3 something worth having.
The 360 does have great titles like BioShock and Gears of War. It depends on what you into. I chose both because I like both consoles for different reasons.

You should never be afraid of using your hardware. This is why they have a return policy. Play them for 24 hours if you like and if they break send them back.
this shouldn't be posted here your not supposed to talk about the other console on the PS3 Forum. also if you really wanted an honest opinion why would u post here or in the other consoles forum..clarkportmanken
Everyone that has posted so far has had an honest opinion. No one has bashed either of the systems.
As someone who has owned both systems (got rid of the xbox when it started overheating), I would have to say go PS3, and the comparison is not evenclose.
The only thing the 360 has going for it is a larger game library, which is merely the biproduct of being rushed to market earlier, which has resulted in an alarming number of system failures. The PS3 is by leaps and bounds the better of the two systems, its vastly more reliable, and the game library is now coming into its own.
