So im thinking about getting a ps3.
My only problem is how im going to balance gaming between the two. So my question for those of you who have both is how do you balance gaming between both?

Exclusives go to whatever system theyre for.
Online only multiplats go to 360.
Single player only mutliplat go to PS3
It depends on how many of my Live friends are getting the game if its MP and SP multiplat, if not much of them are getting it then Ill pick it up for PS3, if most of my friends are getting it then Ill get it for 360.
well.. since I got the PS3, I haven't touched the 360 (only to download movies so I can use up my micropoints) I sold the 360 version of COD4 and got the PS3 version.
I'm selling off my 360 within the next few months, since there really isnt any good exclusives in 2008.. maybe NGII, but I haven't even beat Sigma yet.
Exclusives go to each respective system, obviously, but I get most multiplats on the PS3. I get most of them for the PS3 because I prefer the controller, I have confidence in the reliability of the PS3, and because I don't like having to pay for Live.
Both are great systems, but I would definitely consider the PS3 my primary system, and the 360 my secondary system. I may be in the minority, but that's how I do it.;)
I had my 360 first, so I play most online games on it because of my friends and family on my list. I use the PS3 for single player games at the moment.
But it's going to come down to exclusives to me, what ever system has a game the other doesn't, I'll probably be playing that console. And sometimes I go by what controller feels better on a certain game.

The last game I played on my 360 was C&C, but it just wasn't the same as the PC version. I just recently sold my 360 with an extra controller and 3 games for $315. I just never played it anymore. I found it very hard to balance gaming between the 2. I also sold my Wii, so as you can tell having all 3 just didn't work out for me. If you can manage it though more power to you.
Go with the PS3.... much better system and I have to agree the controller is a heck of a lot better.
With the PS3 you get:
Blue Ray Player (with 5 free movies until end of Jan.)
Free online gaming
WiFi connectivity
With the 360 you have to pay extra for all of them..... the only thing Sony screws you on is the HD cables
Right now I've been playing my 360 because of Bioshock which is an excellent game might I add. I've rented UT3 i'm still getting used to it saying that its fast pace is an understatement. The way I balance the two is by playing all ps3 exclusives and even multiplats on the ps3 unless the multiplat is largely greater on the 360. I'm more comfortable with the ps3 controller and rather over work my ps3 than the 360 due to the 360's fragile architechure and the fact the ps3 is built like a tank. I play all 360 exclusives on the 360.
Plus I'm really fond of my ps3 its so sexy.:P

I tend to get all my multiplat games on my xbox (especially if my friends have it) apart from oblivion and games that huge.
360 usually get the multiplayer games, cause all my friends have a 360. Single player games usually go to PS3.-Sniper99-
I'm a xbox 360 owner - will finally pick up a PS3 this week! I plan to use the PS3 for exlusives and for watching movies. The xbox 360 I will use for multiplatform titles (especially shooters because the 360 controller "feels" better while playing shooters). I am excited about the PS3 and I can't want to play Uncharted, Killzone 2 (loved the original on PS1)and Resistance. The main reason for my purchase is for MLB 08 the Show. shaunchgoKinda thinking the same as you and as it looks as hd dvd is done i need a blu ray player also now. Note i do have the hd dvd add on.
