Personally, I am still amazed by the PS3 and that's all that i think about most of the time. PS4 has never came to mind because we should at least have a couple years before a new system, or maybe PS3 is just so good that we will not need a new system for at least 10 years.

PS4 in another 5 years. This might just be a redesigned PS3 which includes a second hdmi port and multi disc changer. I remember Ken Kutaragi talking about a $2,000.00 av componenet system which played ps3 games and blu ray movies which had a 5 disc changer awhile back. This could also be a slimline ps3, but not the PS4.

exactly what I was saying a PSX like thing.
I read the article about it. It seems like Sony wants to get even with Microsoft, in terms of consoles. Since the Elite is out, it leaves the PS3 looking like an odd picture. I guess Sony wants to measure up.ludadav
consider that only 20% of the PS3 hardware is being used, and games are using only 9 gigs, of a 50 gig disk right now..... how can you say they need to play catch-up? If anyone needs to measure up it's microsoft by using HD-DVDs to play games, but that's not happening. Does it make sense to make a PS4 already, when you are already ahead of times? Plus there is no need for a PSX really. You can already upgrade your HDD, plus upgrade your System with firmware updates. Not to mention you can buy programs if Sony feels like putting them out. The Eye is coming out with an Eye creator program like Adobe Photoshop......... I don't understand what people are thinking?
Micorsoft as been behind on the times on quite a few things the ended up being very big. Bill Gates said around the time that Windows 95 came out that the Web was "just a fad" more or less. Talk about being caught flat footed. He did not notice that the number of websites were doubling about even 6 nanosecs.Â
MS needed to bring out the new machine, HD is just too big, and they proably figured there had to be some users out there that were anti Sony but still wanted a machine that at least had HDMI. So they brought it out. Still does not mesure up to the PS3. Like I always say "its not bashing when its the truth"

What he said...and can we stop the PS4 Threads? PS3 still feels new and we all know thatÂ
PS4 won't be out for a long time.Â

I agree that whatever they're doing isn't going to be the PS4, but if anyone things the PS3 is going to last for 10 years, they're fooling themselves. I know it was originally said that 10 years would be the life span of the next gen console but tech continues to improve at an amazing pace and I'm betting you'll see the PS4 or something like much sooner then we all first thought.

when you say first party you are talking about Sony made right??? Or are you talking also like Insomniac, or Evolution?
yeah, I said first party but meant games published by Sony(first/second party). I am not saying that every game published by Sony has been over 9GB. But what I am saying is that every game has not been under 9GB.Â
