Thoughts On Playstation Plus+

I personally downloaded Playstation Plus last night right at launch and am thoroughly satisfied with the purchase I have already downloaded over 40 dollars worth of stuff for free thanks to my upgrade to plus. Also the games that are offered are games that i may not have purchased or ever played if not for them being free but after playing them i realized they are actually awesome games. wipeout HD was awesome both visually and gameplay wise, also age of zombies was thoroughly addicting and Robotron-esque. Also can't complain bout the price cuts on fat princess add on pack considering i was just about to purchase for the full amount i was glad to get a dollar off. I was skeptical of playstation plus when it was first announced at e3 but I think Sony just stepped their game up. also best part it's optional.

I think it's great, without PS+ I would never of even considered buying a mini but they're a lot of fun. It's a shame that I already have Wipeout HD but considering it's only £11.99 for 3 months (I spend more than that on dr pepper or something), it's a bargin.

Can't wait to see how the service improves over the next couple of months and years.

Just signed up for the Region 2 Plus service... seems good, cant bet getting a free full PS3 game, LBP.

Wish there was more variety in all three stores... the biggest dif right now seems to the free Avatars are different in each region... favorite is Region 2's avatar...

Region 1 has the most deals but I'm not going to get Plus service for Region 1 until something better is offered then just 3 free months... hopefully next month they'll offer another PS3 game to sign up for Region one.

I signed up as soon as I got home today. £11.99 is a bargain considering you get Wipeout HD which is £13.99 on it's own plus a whole lot more games, themes demos etc. for the next 3 months. I like the Minis so far, I have never played them before put they are actually quite fun.

I got it and I like it. I always wanted to get Wipeout, but never got aroun to it. AOZ the mini, i have been always tempted to get a mini but never did and the PS one games are a nice blast from the past.

Bottom line is, this is a service for certain people or players really. If you buy one or two new games once a month already ( at least$ 65 to$130 a month)and like to constantly try ( or play) something new and different than this service is for you. I know it's for me, every month, it's be like opening a present for my birthday, it'll be games (which I love) and I won't know which ones or if I'll like them but i be exposed to some new types like the Mini's. It's pays for it self in about 2 months.

It is cool if you buy a lot games or content from the PSN if you spend $50 or more a month on the store than yes it might be worth it. But if you only buy 4 games a year or whatever off it then no. The free games aren't free since you paid for the service. Over time the games could be considered free. Right now they have Wipeout HD, if next month they have Warhawk and the month after that they have Trine and then month after that they have Burnout, then yes it might be worth it. Burnout essentially would be free. If it's like one big game and the rest are the $5 games each month then it would not be beneficial at all. What if you already have the free games that are offered to you? Then it would not be worth it. I think that Sony should let people have an option either take the free game or choose something = to $20. Everything on the store is half off or at least 25%.

I might get it tomorrow. I don't have Wipeout HD, Age of Zombies, or Rally Cross, so getting a three month subscription would pay for itself right away.

Well I have had some problems downloading Wipe out. It errored @ 14% & then when I went to download it again it was gone. I cannot find it anywhere. Did anybody else have this problem? What should I do?

How do you sign up for regions? How do you get your free copy of LBP? I thought everything would be available but I am even having problems finding the free avatars.

The rally cross game really sucks. The Zombie game is amusing.

I know this will be a better deal after the next couple months when more content is added. I signed up for the next 15 months & I am not sure it was worth it yet.

hey guys ive got a question regarding the free LBP, how do you claim it im in the europe region and when i click the playstation + tab in the store i see the banner saying 1 year = lbp for free but there is no tab to click to download the game that i can see, does it get sent to you when you subscribe? i would subscribe for this and wipout hd alone :)

The rally cross game really sucks. The Zombie game is amusing.

That's what I was thinking. I have one PSN game and a handful of PSOne Clasics, so this is a very good deal me.

The only real problem I can see with this is that it's confusing not knowing what is yours to keep and what is tied to the subscription. Sony should really clear that up.

Savagetofu, look for the game, Wipe out, up on the regular list not the plus list. Search for the game by its title. If you downloaded it...it will have registered and you should be able to download it again.

You will need to create a UK account and buy Plus services for Region 2 to get LBP. If you already bought the US/ Region1 Plus services, it might be not worth investing in a second Plus membership... at least not just yet.

In my books LBP is as good as free, I was going to buy PLUS anyways and getting a game bundled in the deal was great.

2037 MB i think... dont know if it will need a patch also... still downloading it.

Plus there are a few FREE costumes and one level pack if you go to the LBP Add-on content section of the PS store, for everyone. Those each total about 1 MB per costume... i think.

Too bad I already bought Wipeout HD during a past sale...I've always been a PlayStation supporter and will support their PS+ online plan. I have faith that in the coming months they will ramp up different free games and sales to justify the price. I spend a lot of money on the PSN and I am happy to see discounts on the games and DLC. I have no doubt they will vary their sales to cater to their hardcore crowd.

Okay, so far I'm really liking Plus. I downloaded everything that was "free" last night... I figure that's the only way to really justify the subscription. I'm not sure what happened to Wipeout HD though. I downloaded the "full game," but it's not showing up on my games list. Do I need to have the demo as well?jshaas
