Thoughts on: STAR WARS The Old Republic PS3

I believe if is successful enough on PC, developers will lean towards a console port of the game. Things I would like see are, ablility to plug and play a keyboard mouse, or a optimized interface which could very easily be done.(just take KOTOR for instance) I would hope for the game to have a required install for the sake of game running smoothly. A monthly fee would obviously still apply. Some mods could be allowed as they did with unreal tournament. What are your thoughts?

Today's consoles are built around their controllers, not keyboards and mice. You wouldn't see the same optimization. I also think it is safe to say that most console gamers prefer a controller over a mouse and keyboard. I've tried MMOs on consoles before and they never felt right, that may just be my preference though.

I'd like to see it on PS3 aswell but it just isn't going to happen.

as much as i love my PS3 i would prefer to see it stay on the PC only. MMO's are always require patches/fixes along with new content and if the bioware devs had to split there resources to compensate for the 2 platforms then it would probably have an effect on when game updates got released.

If Bioware is going to make this game for consoles, chances are they are going to build it around the controller, since that is gonna be the majority of what people are using. Sure they could do both, they could do alot of things. I'm not the person to ask about what developers want or don't want to do. You can go ahead and open a poll in this same forum asking people if they prefer a mouse & keyboard or a controller. I'll gurantee you the people in the PS3 forum will prefer a controller by a wide margin, regardless that we have a choice now. I dont know what you were expecting to get besides opinions in a forum. Everybody knows facts have no place in gamespot forums.
