Hi all, I was just curious on other peoples thoughts and experiences thus far. I bought 2 copies one for my son and one for myself. So far this game has been a horrible buggy mess. I know, I know they will probably iron out many of the problems. But god playing this the first week is making me never want to go back. The hit detection is horrible the constant warping and lag. The bullet sponge gameplay. So far I don't see any redeeming qualities. I hope I'm missing something, we just arrived at the new area you get flown to in the chopper so maybe things start to open up a bit.

How has other peoples experiences been thus far?

Every big new release is like this, servers crash, bugs, etc.

Play something else for a week and come back to it, should be sorted.

Many people's experiences have been the same. Turns out the game just isn't that good and was over hyped as usual. Then again that's what happens when you pre order or buy something without waiting for reviews and word of mouth to spread yet. People need to stop buying into things blindly and exercise some restraint and wait before buying.

Or you mean, that's what happens when you buy an Ubisoft's game.

This! I have preordered games before and they have been great, Ubi just seems to be dropping the ball as of late.

Same thing as the Assassins Creed games and anything EA spews out . All rely purely of the hype train to attract some userbase and always come up short. Some of my friends from another online community have been sharing their thoughts and feelings about this aswell as why this isn't even close to a "good" game. They preferred Train Simulator in the end.

i am having a blast with it, did not encounter any serious problems (the only problem i had was last night when i finished a side mission and was cleaning up loot in a room and an npc blocked the door, i could not get past it although i tried to run through for about 30 seconds, i had to use fast travel)...

characters are indeed bullet sponges, however if you use decent gear and do not engage targets well above your rank a couple of headshots with a marksman rifle do the trick, if not only one shot... dark zones are different though since the npc there all have armor and playing alone does not help it, i have only entered the dark zone when i hit level 13 and it was tough, the minute i entered it someone decided to go rogue and started to shoot at me, it was intense, and i liked it (not being shot at part but the emergent and exhilarating feel of it)...

so far my feelings about the game are all positive, we'll see how long it lasts... :)

Train Simulator?!??

Division is like an MMORPG TPS, might not be everybody's cup of tea but it's solid.

Mostly just PC Gamers whining because they think it's not "optimized" enough (I got mine on PC btw.)

It's been great so far and I went with the Disc version to avoid the first server maintenance and after that its been great on the PS4 running smooth no lag etc. And I just got into the lvl 20+ areas for pve. omg the enemies are much more tougher and SMARTER i have never seen that before in a game like that before. :)

So far I really enjoy it, I prefer third person shooters so that's a bonus. Have only had a couple weird moments where my gun stops shooting and the ai sort of freezes but that'll get fixed. Solid8/10 game for me. Think ppl will either love it or hate it but to be fair it's not a shit game like some ppl are saying

I've been playing it with friends, and so far I've been really enjoying it. It's not the big AAA title that people were probably hoping for, but I didn't go in with those expectations either. I had buddies who were playing it so I went out and bought it, and have been pleasantly surprised. I was going to skip over it.

I'm not sure how much I would play it on my own, but in a party with some friends it's been a good time for me. Yeah, it's got bullet sponge enemies like Borderlands, but that's the kind of game it is. It's Borderlands-esque with weapon pickups and enemies like that with mini-bosses. I never knew it was going to be like that, but I did enjoy Borderlands 1+2 so I haven't been disappointed.

Running around with friends or randoms killing dudes getting really good loot. and the tension with rogue agents is really fun.. though it can suck if you have a full pack, but you are by yourself and there is group of rogue agents trolling your extraction zone. i try to be friendly with all the division agents but not everyone is feeling that.

@trav_have: Exactly how I felt with the game. Wasn't going to get it, but me and my buddy decided to so we could play together, and when we play together it's a blast. Not sure what it's like playing solo yet, but as a group the game's been great.

I've been playing this with a friend as well, although I do enjoy it solo, it's by far my favorite game this gen.

I've been playing mostly solo and it's okay. Side missions are pretty much the same in every safe house and got repetitive quick for me. I did get a chance to do some Dark Zone with a party of 4 and its was fun. Running into other parties can be a bit tense with everyone just starring each other down as they walk by seeing who will shoot first. But for me those moments don't happen often so my overall experience has just been "meh it's okay".

@G-Legend: playing solo is fine for the main story and side quests, the only nuisance is that when you die you have to start at a checkpoint since there is no one to revive you, dark zone on the other hand is brutal and could be enjoyed more with a team...

on another note now get it why the rikers' gang is so pissed off...

a tiny advice to anyone just started playing or playing in general: do level up in the main story and the dark zone at the same time, that way you can use the vendors more efficiently... i have completed the story with level 30 and never went into dark zone and now my dark zone level is 19, i cannot buy anything from the vendors, since they require a dark zone level of 30 matching my normal level... if i start over again i'll look into levelling in both of the areas at the same time...

Yep. By now I've actually played quite a bit of it solo. It's still damn fun for me, but definitely not as great as it is with a squad. With my friends we always do the big missions, but when I'm on my own I tend to just stick to the little missions like phone call pickups, missing agents, encounters, etc etc.

It's worked out pretty well that way though, being able to just get the little things out of the way on my own time and when friends are with me we power through the tough ones. I don't venture into the Dark Zone too much on my own either, since I've had a lot of struggles running into squads trying to kill me while on my own.
