So, basically there's a lot of PS3 exclusives I wanna play...and I do want a bluray player. Not really sure which PS3 to get. I have a 250gb hdd for my 360..and I will probably not download as much stuff to my PS3 as I do with my Xbox...but who knows.

Lowest though I'd probably go with is the 60gb for the PS3, not to mention I heard you can buy a 3rd party HDD anyway to use for my PS3? So what should I get? I plan on buying one online..maybe used, as long as it's still working great, and really not wanting to spend more than $200. I saw some 80gb ones for $200 on EBay. Aren't those the ones that are backwards compatible to PS2 games?

Anyway, if the Slim is worth saving up money for, I'd consider doing that for sure..but it'd be a while I believe. If the older ones are pretty reliable then I'd be fine with getting any of the 60, 80 and 120 gb ones..

thanks in advance..

Follow my advice to be safe:

1) Never buy a USED console

2) You should get a 120GB Ps3 as I'm sure you will be downloading plenty of stuff you can find on Playstation Store. demos etc.....

3) If I'm not wrong you can get a new Ps3 120gb for maybe $200 orslightlyin US. Not sure as I'm not from US.

Have a nice day!:)

I agree. Don't buy used. Too many people have had issues with used or refurbished Playstations. I would go with 120g.

Get a Slim PS3, 120GB and buy a 500GB Hard Drive, all you'll ever need.

My 80GB was running smoothly then I hit a LONG home run in The Show and BOOM: Yellow Light ... I now have a 240GB Slim and it's great (so far) I think you should get the 120 GB Slim and AVOID used consoles altogether

Well then it's gonna take me a while to save up the money for something that expensive with my current job. However it may be worth it in the end. I bought a used 360 over a year ago and it still works to this date.

So you are thinking about buy a "used PS3 that got the YLOD or just buggy and is fixed temporarily" from ebay? Save some more money and buy yourself a new PS3 with its warranty. Get the newest slim with the new more energy efficient chip.

1. Buy a brand-new PS3 slim 120GB model 2. Buy a 320-500GB laptop HDD for about 60-100 bucks 3. Install HDD onto new PS3 4. Party

i've got an origonal 60 GB AUS spec ps3 that i bought when the ps3 was first launched nearly 4 years ago now, i don't see buying a used one as being a big issue, if you can get one on E-bay for cheap, over here we still pay top dollor ($500) for a slim PS3 so i'd simply be buying a used origonal.

At least in Canada, Wal-Mart has the 2101B 250g PS3 bundled with BioShock 2 and UFC 2010 for $350.00 - not a bad option if you're still looking.
