How much space do you have on a 250 once its fully installed on a ps3 Like i know its probably about 230/250 all the time but doesnt the ps3 take up another 12 or so %?

I have a 500gb installed, it converts to 465 and the system took additional from that. I have 20 games installed as well as a ton of dlc, 40 demos or so, some "borrowed" blu-ray quaity dl's anda metric****-tonof other borrowed media. Im sitting at around 240 remaining. guess it depends on what your going to use it for. If it was only the games themselves id have tons of space, but if you often put movies on there to store then 500gb is worth the extra 30-40 bucks.

Sounds like more than enough. I have a 40 gig and haven't had to upgrade the hdd yet. I have 10 games ( not all of them did big installs) and a few psn things and still have 17 gigs left. If I had waited and got one later I'd probably go with an 80 or 120 gig one. Really depends on how much stuff your gonna put on your ps3 so just consider that and you should know if it's enough.

Depends on what you need your HDD for, I have mine (320 GB iirc) almost filled with music, games, installs, dlcs, demos, videos etc.

I have tons of installed games, a dozen or so demos, a handful of downloaded games, a few videos, lots of music, a few pictures, and still have over 215GB out of my 320GB HDD left. Anything over 200 should be more than enough.

My 60 gig still has plenty of space. I waiting for the SSD drives to improve and drop in price. That would be a worth while update for me because of no moveing parts and a lot less heat is created with these drives.

just upgraded to a 320GB. My 40GB was getting filled. So far my 320 is in good shape. Doesn't cost too much to go bigger nowadays.

250 is a good number. I have a 60 and i put all of the dr. who episodes i had on it (51 episodes 45[ish] minutes a peice) and 31 episodes of another 24 min show and i have about 3g left. Not to mention the games i have installed which are actually quite small. But without the vids i'd have almost 40g, and i have quite a few games on there so yeah. I think the only reason the ps3 fills up faster is because you can save any video and/or music file that you want and its compatable, so 250's a good number.
