I have a 500gb installed, it converts to 465 and the system took additional from that. I have 20 games installed as well as a ton of dlc, 40 demos or so, some "borrowed" blu-ray quaity dl's anda metric****-tonof other borrowed media. Im sitting at around 240 remaining. guess it depends on what your going to use it for. If it was only the games themselves id have tons of space, but if you often put movies on there to store then 500gb is worth the extra 30-40 bucks.
Sounds like more than enough. I have a 40 gig and haven't had to upgrade the hdd yet. I have 10 games ( not all of them did big installs) and a few psn things and still have 17 gigs left. If I had waited and got one later I'd probably go with an 80 or 120 gig one. Really depends on how much stuff your gonna put on your ps3 so just consider that and you should know if it's enough.
Depends on what you need your HDD for, I have mine (320 GB iirc) almost filled with music, games, installs, dlcs, demos, videos etc.
250 is a good number. I have a 60 and i put all of the dr. who episodes i had on it (51 episodes 45[ish] minutes a peice) and 31 episodes of another 24 min show and i have about 3g left. Not to mention the games i have installed which are actually quite small. But without the vids i'd have almost 40g, and i have quite a few games on there so yeah. I think the only reason the ps3 fills up faster is because you can save any video and/or music file that you want and its compatable, so 250's a good number.
