I don't want anybody to take this wrong, BUT doesn't it seem a little strange that  the ps3 has weatherd the storm, and momentum is starting to swing sonys way, WHY we are starting to see all of these"SHOULD I GET A PS3" threads? I'm not talking about the people in the PAL regions, because I'm really happy for them, I'm talking about people in general.I mean,I'm glad that people are interested, but the timing is a little strange. What are your thoughts..?? (PS3 OWNERS ONLY PLEASE)

It probably has something to do with the announcement of Home. People were a little unclear of the PS3's online functionality and now they have a better idea of what that will be. Also Motorstorm was just recently released and Oblivion is around the corner, so things are starting to pick up. That's my thought anyway.

I'm not gonna lie to you... when the Xbox 360 first came out I wanted it to fail sooooo bad. Then I bought one and changed my tune and just as the PS3 was about to come out I found myself resenting it as well. I wanted it to fail so bad and then I started to secretly want to get one. I'm not sure what the point of this response is or where I was going with it but the long and short of it is that I now own both consoles and love them both for different reasons and will gladly tell anyone to get a PS3 whenever I see a "should I get one" post

Sony has never had a system where you want to pick it up as soon as it comes out. When PS2 came out, I didn't see a reason to get one. There was nothing "amazing" about it, I was fine with my N64. But then they just started to dominate, and things were clicking. My view, is that it's the same way now. PS3 will over time get better, and were starting to see that with the games coming out, Home, and w/e else. The thing that kinda pisses me off, is that sony is looking for a larger base of people then just gamers, which makes sense, you wanna make more money then the competition. But I hope they still create games that appeal to us gamers. And I'm not talking about that FF crap, or w/e else. I'm talking real games, like Army of Two, or Motorstorm type games.

Well i was one of these people who made such a thread on a diffrent acount, and it was because of one console being very un-reliable and bad expreinecse with suport, and the fact the ps3 just seemed to have more going for it in the long run, its mirroring the ps2 so far and so i think i know how the story will end ;)

and one thing people say why does the ps3 cost so much?! coz your getting more maybe? :P

sorry for bad spelling

lol...your right I should have been specific...what I am asking is, do you think that most of the people with the sudden interest in the ps3, are the same ones who were bashing it early on??

How is FF not a "real game"? I'm pretty sure a lot of gamers are looking forward to FFXIII. One of the main reasons I bought a PS3. I don't see what's the big deal about Home. It's a ghetto Sims/Second Life or whatever. Nothing spectacular.

right now its just a phsycological war right now, both systems offer pretty much the same 3rd party experience, the only thing mainly different is ps3 is bieng bashed on and the other system not so much. But both give a fairly same experience, this is why i think this whole war thing is kinda dumb.

Sony will have weathered the storm when the console hits 10 to 15 million sold. They got a long way to go and probably need at least one price drop to get there.

I'm not saying it's not a real game... just one I don't like. But that's me. I hate all those crappy RPG games... they are all the same. And doesn't make sense to me to have a woman half rabbit, half human.... just don't like it. So you think home is crap? That's like me thinking FF is crap. One person thinks it's crap, but there are going to be million who like it. So your one opinion, even though it's your opinion, won't sway millions of people, understand what I'm saying?

As I said before, don't take this wrong, it's not a '' I told you so" thread, because I'm a fan of gaming in general. My point is, to all the people that bash console they don't have shouldn't, just enjoy the one you have.
