I was just wondering, should I pre-order Uncharted 2, or do you think Gamestop will have enough in stock?

I really don't think you needed to create a poll for this... I pre-order every game I plan to purchase... Alot of the time Gamestop will have some copies but only a limited amount... Some games require pre-orders I know NHL 2010 wouldn't have had any extra copies if I didn't pre-order... Big time games they will have lots of extra copies unless it's selling out like crazy... But it really depends how busy your Gamestop is... If you live in NYC, LA, Chicago, ETC... I would highly recommend pre-ordering every game you plan to purchase from Gamestop... If you live in the Burbs they will usually have a couple extra copies of a big time release like Uncharted 2... I would just give your local Gamestop a call and ask about avaliablity and if they think you need to pre-order...???

Gamestop a lot of times don't sell you the new games unless you pre-ordered it, just go to bestbuy or other store like it, that's what I do.

I dont understand some people.

If its a game you REALLY want and are going to buy the first week, Pre-order it...you have nothing to lose.

If its a game you really dont care if you buy it the first week, then dont pre order.

I'm sure they have 2 batches of the game - one load for the shelves, and the other for the amount of pre orders they receive

Not at all

If you're not saving money or getting anything back then it's useless to preorder

All you're doing by preordering is saying "I am happy paying the highest price possible for this game"

All stores give discounts and freebies for games when they launch. Amazon has deals and Best Buy also has deals.

To preorder the game with nothing doesn't make any sense at all

I agree with Jasonguy for the most part.

There's only one gam anyone will probably need to pre-order this year: Modern Warfare 2.
I wouldn't be worried about any other titles being sold out. Uncharted 2 might be a great game, but it's not completely engrained in pop culture like MW2 is.

I never pre-order games, and have never not gotten anything I've ever wanted on launch day.
The first game I ever pre-ordered in 24 years of game playing (and maybe the last): MW2

There's tons of other places that will have them in stock such as Walmart, Target and Best Buy.

Even a game like Modern Warfare has bonuses if you buy it certain places too

There's no reason in today's retail market to ever preorder a game at full price. All you're doing is killing yourself as a consumer

what you dont realize is that a game is just a disc that can be burnt in the blink of an eye. its games with peripherals that will sell out, not simple discs. im not worried that i wont be able to get mw2 day one

pre-order from amazon. it's cheaper and it includes a map (in video form) to the locations of all the hidden treasures.

Wait a minute.... In video form?? What do you mean? You DL a video that tells you where they are?
