C'mon guys, use something called common sense. The reason why we're losing all these exclusives (and not just Capcom) because these developers are going where the money is. As much as I hate to admit it, it's with Wii and the 360-- they're selling millions of consoles. Now looking comparing sales from nextgen wars you see that Wii and 360 nearly triples PS3 consoles sold. I'm pretty sure those numbers are exhagerrated, but I wouldn't be shocked if Wii and 360 have sold atleast twice the amount of PS3's. So don't blame Capcom saying, "Capcom's never going to make exclusives", they're just doing what they do best, make money. That's why we're seeing a Kingdom Hearts game to the DS, that's why we see a God Of War on the PSP before they think about making a game for the PS3, and that's why Capcom is going multiplat-- it's all because of the lack of PS3 sales. So point your fingers at Sony, they screwed us over. I'm really hoping the best with the new 40GB.suitmypants
KH was on the GBA on PS2 glory days. Capcom hasnt been to trusty for exclusives, if not, check how many exclusives, and 1 year exclusives the NGC got agains the PS2. Its the same deal here. Most of the other companies havent jumped ships totally.
Anyway, to the wussies complaining, if you wanna boycot Capcom, go and do it. In the meantime I will be enjoying LP and DMC 4.

I don't particularly care if things stay exclusive, as long as the ps3 has a version of the game. The monster hunter situation doesn't really bother me as I don't play the game, but I could see how ps3 owners who were expecting that game would be disappointed, because now they don't get it at all (whosever fault it is, it was capcom's decision to put it on the wii).
EDIT: but i do agree with what you are saying.
I think Capcom is trying its best to appease everyone. I mean this was a pretty nice gesture on their part making lost planet multi-plat.(I wish theyd do a multiplat version of a phoenix wright game) Capcom is just like any other corporation and it wants to maximize its profits. This is evident in their loads of remakes and collection type games they have been releasing recently. People should calm down a bit and just let things even out a bit. Take it easy on capcom.
I don't really think sony really screwed anyone over, they just made some bad choices but seem to be trying to rectify them. That plus all the bad press made it a very harsh environment for the ps3. But with the great exclusives coming out maybe sony can catch it's second wind.

100% agreed. Some of these guys on these forums are such nerds, boycotting is so stupid. I know if capcom was my business, Id do what it takes to make money also. Thats what business is making money. Im very happy to see lost planet, thats the only one i cared about, not dead rising or any other game. Cant wait to get my hands on lp!
I may be in the small camp here, but the biggest reason that I hate Capcom now isn't solely because of DMC going multi, which it was already doing by having DMC on PC as well. I do not see much fault with company deciding to go multi-platform at all, anything like this should get Sony to realize that they will have a serious crisis on hand if they can't make their console more attractive. I mean, look at the sales number now with the 40G model.
Don't get me wrong, I may still ended up buying DMC4, although I think the hero-wanna-be will probably turned into another Raiden from MGS2. However, while I dislike EA for their shameless money launderhing, they at least do not slap your face by switching exclusive title to another platform and have the gut to lie and say development cost is too high? That, to me, is a big no-no. If development cost is that high, maybe they should just stick w/ DS and get it over with. There's no need to release another lack-luster game like Lost Planet on PS3. Something that didn't sell well on 360's not going to change much by switching to PS3. And there's always another chance that they may say "development cost is to high" to port LP to PS3 and rewrite everything from get go for Wii..
In other words. Freaking be honest about it, don't act like by switching an average game to PS3 would justify for downright lying by moving exclusive title to exclusive on another. It's true that company are about money, but you'd be stupid not to complain about situation like this. Unless you want to be another souless puppet and just applaude for whatever Capcom is doing, in that case, stick with your happy LP and be laughted at for loving something that wasn't even a side dish on 360 while Capcom count money in your wallet.
The only thing worse than people complaining about a game company trying to make as much money as possible are the people that defend those companies... If you like a game and it is on your system of choice why worry about it?guyhunterNicely said.. Still get my blood pumping whenever I think about Monster Hunter and Lost Planet though.
Perhaps if you stopped calling people idiots you might get more credibility. I agree people need to lay off Capcom as they are only doing what's best for business, but when you start out your topic by calling people idiots, I could care less what you have to say.
There is no excuse for calling people idiots, whether or not you agree with them. If people feel screwed or mistreated it's their business to feel that way. It's not up to any of us to slam people for their opinion, whether we think them valid or not.
Like I said, I agree that people should lay off Capcom, but as much as people should do that, people like you should learn not to insult people when trying to make a point.
