it is, campzor has a point. from all the T.R games this is the only one for me at least, that keeps bringin me back to it. and co-op is hella fun, to bad there isnt online co-opi liked it, when it gets waay cheaper i'll definetly get it
Chris_Williams
Way cheaper than $14.99?
It's not like it's a $59.99 game here, guys.. it's actually decent for a cheap top-down PSN game.
Since I'm almost finished with the game, I'll say that to me it is not worth 15 bucks, but 10 sounds more reasonable. I was expecting a decent story, but the game is more heavily influenced on gameplay, which is fun, but again I expected a bit more. Since this is not a proper Tomb Raider title, it is still a nice mini game, I guess this will determine wether there will be another Tomb Raider in the near future.
lol yea cuz genesis or snes could support graphics and gameplay like this i like the game and cant wait for the coop online update to go liveI played the trial.. whats with the top camera view, i guess they should have released this for sega genesis or super nintendo :)

Yeah its pretty addicting, and Ive only played the demo. but its a steal for 15 bucks. I think its a great touch up and a breath of freash air for the series. I would like to see the original formula again, but this is also a great addition
Are you 12 years old?my god cant believe you people saying its better than tomb raider anniversary i guess you dont care about graphics at all well maybe you should stick to the wii and not the ps3 or xbox 360:)

It's the only Tomb Raider game I like and a great game in its own right if you ask me. I'm having a lot of fun with it.
[QUOTE="Tweetie-Pot"]Its a pretty damn good game actually. clruff
Yes it is. For being the kind of game it is it's one of the best out and GS gave it to me for free. It's 2p campaign also.
How did you get it for free? GameSpot just gave it away? Promo or something?
Even with the viewpoint the graphics are better than Anniversary. To be fair to that game, the 360 version is basically just a PS2 port and runs at some sub-HD resolution. It doesn't look better than Underworld, of course, but it still looks pretty good for a downloadable title.my god cant believe you people saying its better than tomb raider anniversary i guess you dont care about graphics at all well maybe you should stick to the wii and not the ps3 or xbox 360:)

Square-Enix screwed up the codes (or Sony screwed them up when they set up what was to be redeemed on PSN), and no one discovered that until after Gamespot had already handed out an hour or two's worth of those codes. They took down the code page after that point, but a lot of people got it. Which is sad - the game sold poorly on the 360, and would have probably sold poorly on the PS3 even without people getting it for free. How did you get it for free? GameSpot just gave it away? Promo or something?

You know why?! They were fun. It's worth the $15 more than most PSN (and XBLA) titles that hit at $15 - Braid, Castle Crashers, Fat Princess, Trials HD, etc. Heck, it's got more gameplay than a lot of retail titles that hit at $60.DJ_Lae
hey, Castle Crashers is an amazing game

Oh, I agree, but in terms of content Guardian of Light has it beat handedly. And if we're talking the PS3 version of Castle Crashers (or Braid), which arrived more than a year after the 360 version, it's kind of insulting to PSN users that it still costs $15.[QUOTE="killerband55"][QUOTE="DJ_Lae"]It's worth the $15 more than most PSN (and XBLA) titles that hit at $15 - Braid, Castle Crashers, Fat Princess, Trials HD, etc. Heck, it's got more gameplay than a lot of retail titles that hit at $60.DJ_Lae

Wow, really? How exactly? The controls are nothing short of easy... I will agree with the mundane shootouts however. The combat is seriously lacking in this game. I didn't mind it at first, but it gets old quick. Otherwise, the game is excellent.Spent most of my time wrestling with the controls...

It just didn't feel right to me. Holding down R2 feels weird for a game that's more similar to a dual stick shooter. There's other things too but that's a big one for me.

I can see that, actually. It does seem like an unnecessary extra step. The only reason I can think of for having it that way is the necessity for aiming Totec's spears before firing them to make platforms. Even then, that could have been easily resolved by allowing more than three to remain in the environment before they disappear.I love it... lot of fun, and the last three TR games ("Legend", "Anniversary", and "UnderWorld") were all good stuff too... The Lara Croft and TR games have kept my attention a lot better than "Uncharted", actually. This is a really fun action-puzzler... But I suppose haters need something to do...
