It's Free roam, ive rented this game 3 times. i like it, its got some cool new features and alot more realistic movement, you cant get 3220002030230203 point combos any more, but you can still get ridiculos air.
Remember THPS 3 for PS2? 10 out of 10. I loved this game, and as the series has progressed my liking for the series has faded. I liked all the games up THUG 2, American Wastleland did it for me.

I like this one. THUG is still my fav:D nothin beats a 600 mil combo :)
I personally really liked it, but it's received lukewarm praise. If you are a fan of the series... they really have added a new dimension to the game called "nail the trick" mode. It's the Matrix meets the kick flip. Not sure what kind of rental offers they have where you are, but if it's anything like Blockbuster Video in the US (where you can rent a game and keep it for something like 60-90 days, with a small one time late fee, I'd go that route though.
