I'm thinking about getting a Playstation 3 sometime this month... i don't know why im getting it or whats makeing me want it... i have an Xbox 360 and its fun to play. But for some reason i want a PS3 and i know it doesnt have that many games out for it yet but i called my local best buy store and they said that the prices of the PS3's will go up to its normal price sometime in January and that the $499.99 price tag for it is just a promo price. But anywase i want a PS3 can anyone tell me why i should get one. and what do you guys think about the price going back up, did anyone else here this? is it even true?

I'm pretty sure that's not true. Anyway, you should get a PS3 because it has great games right now and many more on the way, free online, the hardware is reliable, and you can play blu-ray movies. Seems like a good deal to me.
well i dont think it will go back up but it could if u dont care about bc then go for a 40 gig but i was in the same boat dont know why i wanted one i just did then i went to walmart and they had the 40 gig but could not sell it so i saw a 60 gig and just bought that one but in the end resistance and r and c justfied my cause i love r and c and resistance is way and i mean way better than halo imo not online but story and gameplay is great it is really hard but fun. i think in the next year we are gonna see a turn around for the 360 because they just realeased there killer app and now they really dont have anything but the ps3 had mgs4,ff13,uncharted,gta 4 which the 360 has but i like gta on ps better than xbox but yes i think it is a really nice buy i like the system and online is free so thats cool
No the price is not going up! I have PS3 and 360 love both! I would say yes get a PS3 if you can you get free online ,Blu-Ray movie player,very reliable hardware. It runs quieter than the 360 and is a great system with many great exclusive games and many more to come ! I love both systems but if i could only have one it would be PS3 !
You should get one because it has free online, it has blu-ray built-in, wireless rechargable controllers, it has an internet browser, and will have awesome games coming soon or in '08, not to mention there are good games out now as well. ;)
PlayStation 3 is getting a flood of games this November and December, so this is a perfect time to get it. Plus, there are a variety of PS3s and awesome deals, so go fer it.
