My friend is offering me one and I only want to play games on it(i have an ipod). Part of the reason I want it is because I want to sync my PS3-PSN games on my PSP. Can the older models do this, and what exactly am I missing by not getting a slim?

i'm pretty sure the older models can do this, it just can't do skype. You're not missing much except for a few more hours of battery life, and a less heavy system. Better loading times.. hm.. that's about it.

If what you list is all you truly want to do with the PSP, go for it.

lol^ Never tried due to fear of bricking (I think thats what your talking about).

Anyways I still have the old PSP and I can have it Synced to my PS3 to watch my Movies (that I have on my external HD) and listen to music. All this anywhere with wireless internet, same goes with PSN games, they all work fine. I have Pixel Junk Monsters (I think thats what it's called lol I can't remember) and it works great.

I am however going to purchase the new PSP 3000, I need a new PSP since mine is old. It's up to you really on what ya want to do but if your just going to use it for multimedia and gaming go for the one your friend is offering. the newer PSP just has Skype and a bit of improvement on the hardware side, I think it's the Ram but not sure.

You'll enjoy it man, I use mine daily for multimedia and gaming with close friends.
