Hi guys, would like some honest opinions on whether or not I should get a PSP so late in its lifespan.... Would you recommend one to your friends still and is it worthwhile since Ill prob only spend a max of 3hrs on it a week? Any1 recommend waiting for a NDS 3D rather? ;) Just wanna know what you guys think since Ive only ever had a Gameboy Advanced (very long ago) and never had much time for it.... FFVIII and MGS PW on it should be great tho since I played that game sOOO much back in school! :D Thanks!

Not too late at all - I just bought mine a few months back. I might even say it's the perfect time as you can pick up the gems of the system (of which there are comparatively few) for extremely cheap. Games like Jeanne D'Arc, Chains of Olympus, Pangya, Loco Roco, Patapon, and others are all hovering around the $10 mark (or less). It's also great for playing PS1 games downloaded from PSN, if you're so interested. Just keep in mind the RPGs are really the only ones that have aged gracefully.

Yeah that's true. but if you get a psp over 1 year from now. There may be some games that won't be available anymore.

The later you buy a system, the more games that are available for it, and you'll only save money. You might not always be the coolest kid on the block, but you get some good gaming, and that's what matters.

Like the others have said, it is a great time to jump in. At this point in its lifespan it has had many great games come up, and most of those are reasonably inexpensive. There are also great games coming out for it later this year and beyond.

It's not late in its lifespan at all. A lot of good games available, many of them low-priced.

It's definitely not too late. I bought one earlier this summer and picked up a number of good games.

It's never too late to get a PSP. Hell, I've got mine in April this year, and I've got a pretty average collection of games for it, and this is coming from someone who only bought games in his own country (which doesn't even have paypal, LOL) and I got half of those games off PSN. So yeah, give it a shot, the PSP2 isn't coming anytime soon, and even if it does, the PSP will always be a classic with the games such as FF7:Crisis Core, Dissidia and P3P on it.

Coolyfett thinks that you should pick a PSP up asap!! It is a really great system regardless of negative feedback. You can not go wrong with a PSP 3000...it is the perfect PSP according to the Laws of Coolyfett. When you get the cash and the time, be sure you treat yourself.

Your post often put a smile on the face of Coolyfett. Coolyfett says that he wishes more PSP gamers were like solidsilversolo. You do an excellent job my brotha. May you have a surplus of attractive women in your life. Peace and Love.

I think now is the time to get one, since there's finally a somewhat decent library being built for it. I got more use out of my PSP this last year than ever since launch, just saying.

It's actually great to be a late adopter of the PSP. All the great games that are out for it are super cheap. I have had a PSP since 2005 and have had to pay lots of money for my games.
