Too Many Exclusives?

Look at Sony's lineup for 2009, damn impressive, no? Uncharted 2, Infamous, Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 2, God of War 3, Team Ico project etc. There is no doubt they have a strong lineup but I feel that they're releasing this all too soon what with the economic crisis and all. Obviously I'm not in the same situation as everyone else but it seems that along with multiplats Sony will be using up all their ammo in 2009.

So, do you think that it is looking too crowded on the releases for 2009? Most of these will come during the holiday peroid remember and I found that I was overwhelmed (gaming being an expensive hobby as it is)

This is definitely a problem that I have no problem with.

a variety of game types. i'm sure people will be able to keep up. birthdays and holidays are good for getting multiple games if they come out too close together

Some of the games you mentioned probably won't be out until 2010. I doubt that God of War 3 and GT5 will be out this year. Everyone said this about 08 as well. I would have to say the games that are guaranteed to come out are Infamous, Cross Edge, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted 2, and White Knight Chronicles. If Sony is just now asking about a collectors edition for God of War 3, this means that they haven't put anything into packaging yet, so the game arriving on shelves by fall is extremely low. GT 5 has been talked about coming out since 07 and it still hasn't come yet. We still haven't heard lick of the team ico game, so no to that too. I don't care though. 5 games is enough for me. I still haven't played hardly any of 08's fall lineup. As far as lineups go, yes Sony does seem to have the best one this year.

Theres just to many games coming out this fall seasone period. And I thought 08 was stacked!!!

All I'm worried about is Infamous, Versus XIII, God of War 3 and Ratchet & Clank.

The only ones that interest me right now are Cross Edge, White Knight Chronicles, and Ratchet & Clank.

Bayonetta is a mulit-plat, but I'll most likely end up getting it for the PS3.

First, people cry and beg for exclusives and complain the lack of them. Then when the exclusives come innumbers,they complain there are too many to handle. Just choose the ones to your liking. My exclusives will be God of War III, Heavy Rain and GT5.

I'll be getting my PS3 very late thisyear (prob Dec) andmy financial plan thing states that I can afford to get 5 games on the day I buy themachine, 6 if I'm lucky. It's pretty overwhelming andhard for me to decide which games I'ma get despite the fact that I'm only ever getting exclusives for the PS3 as I have a good PC to handle multiplatform games.

I don't think there is ever such a thing as TOO many exclusives. You don't have to get all of them on the spot, just get the ones you missed next year. Space them out yourself, no problem..

Many people used to joke about how the PS3 had little games and that's why the 360 owns andsh!t so Sony NEEDS this lineup.. It's very powerful incentive for people to get a PS3 and it worked on me. If '09 didn't have this many AAA exclusives, I'd prob only get it end of next year.

And that's not the worst of it, now if a game (exclusive) scores an 8.0, people claim it a flop, which is just stupid. :!:

Exclusives help sell consoles. After this year, and especially after God of War III, the PS3 should be going very strong.

no there can never be enough.. now only if sony would release 4 or 5 exclusives at the same time and drop the price, the sales would rise drastically.. (potentially)
