wow.sounds exciting!!! cant wait!!! exactly haha, once they add, more fetures like where you can start a game from home then it will be good, but i was hoping they will add more features like what sonys competitor has, like cross game chat, and cross game invites and suchit's not bad once you figure it out, just realize every girl you see in home is really a guy using a girl charectarNuck81hahahaahah yes seriously so be careful wat u say to them hhaa
Wow it's a beta clearly not everything is going to be available and it's a closed one too so not everyone you want to be there is going to be there. Once it's open to everyone your friends and more things will be open for you to do all these whiners, I would have been glad to take your beta code off your hands if you don't want it.G-LegendYeah i'll take anyone elses key if you gunna fricking whine about it. You whiners are so ungrateful that you get to beta test what everyone wants. Be happy.
Yeah TBH when i first started playing it i got kind of bored, having nothing in the stores etc but then i figured out you could play games to unlock stuff for yourself and your room.
It had to grow on me, but yeah when the game rooms come out etc it'll get better, atm you can only start playing warhawk. Bowlings pretty fun also.
Why everybody hating on Home? It's free... 1. I'd decorate my apartment. 2. Set up the trophies? 3. Go buy stuff from the stores? 4. Buy a car 5. Run the place over 6. Drive-by everyoneHarshGamerFree doesn't make it fun. I really wish that home were fun, but I find it incredibly boring. I guess they should have given me an apartment in the basement.
it's not bad once you figure it out, just realize every girl you see in home is really a guy using a girl charectarNuck81Of course they are, all the real girl gamers play party games on the Nintendo Wii.. ;)
1. i don't see how anyone can complain about something that is free.polishkid99

haha seriouslyThat's how I actually got in, somebody who dreaded it just gave me their code, I think it was sharable or something. Home was fun for like an hour. It doesn't improve PSN at all. Oh well.why complain about something that is free??
Because I had expectations of what this free item was suppose to be, and my expectations were not met.
I would give away my beta code so you could be as disappointed as I am, but hence I can't do that.

Home is the best way I've found to network with other PS3 players who have similar interests. I've never made PSN friends so easily. With the clubs function in gear, there's already a vast number of clubs you can search through to match your interests. In a few minutes, I'd already joined a group of PSN gamers who share one of my minority viewpoints. Every club has its own clubhouse with a bulletin board, where everyone can meet up and chat, and then (when the full version is released) we could all jump into a game together.
I also enjoy Home simply for chatting. I like having a 3D world to explore and various activities to do while talking to people. Don't get me wrong--I go out every weekend and meet people, but online chatting also appeals to me because it's a much faster way to meet people who actually have more in common with me.I personally would rather use Home for chatting than any other application. There's no spambots, no suggestive advertisements, and it's easy to use and yet powerful as well (the media sharing elements in the final version will add a lot of value).
And Token, you crack me up. Why did you think Home was supposed to be a game? If you paid attention to the trailers for Home, they made it clear that it was a networking application where you can customize your own virtual space and spend time with friends, and set up group based gaming sessions. I don't understand what people expected Home to be if not what Sony was advertising it to be.
In any case, I don't know why people are complaining because XBL is copying the features of Home... meeting with friends before going into a game and watching movies together... except XBL's version has ultra-lame avatars compared to Home's (not even debatable, lol) and Home is a much more polished product and ultimately more entertaining. So what you're getting with Home are features of the new XBL and extended features, except for free. Why is that lame?
I just think its lame because its just a ps3 version of myspace/ facebokok, all i want is something that is equivalent to live, more features for the games like in game music, crozz game chatting, cross game invites, party chat etc, on top of the newtworking that home has, but i wish there was a way to go through those features with out having to go through home. all i want is stuff to do while in gameHome is the best way I've found to network with other PS3 players who have similar interests. I feel the same way. Coming from a complete non-fanboyish perspective, HOME and PSN is lame. XBL is the easiest way for me to get involved with online console gaming with features that I actually need/use/want. For instance, the local shopping mall in my area has a gaming league. PCs and 360s only. Quake 4, Couterstrike, Madden 09, DeadorAlive 4, etc. I actually mentioned about possibly hosting some PS3 frag/sports fest and everyone just laughed. I mean... EVERYONE (about 80 ish gamers atm)
PS3 has some good exclusives, but honestly all I see HOME doing is bringing it down more. It fails on a game/customization basis because I can get an experience 100 times it on a PC. Also it will fail as an online network hub.. too many steps needed at the state it's in now (not to mention download HOME itself) for the casuals. Better luck next gen maybe?
I sorta retract some of my statements. I'm willing to give HOME a shot, but I'm seriously getting sick and tired of Sony's BS! I was told PSN was to compare to XBL at no cost a couple years ago.. when I didn't know a thing about HOME. Honestly, I'de rather pay $100 a year versus what we have now just to get a no frills feature rich online experience.
If HOME were to launch on PC, it'd score about a 1.0-3.0 (game or not).
