Ok i have a rca 1080i tv and it doesnt have hdmi can i still put hd on my ps3? At least 1080i resolution?

Your tv should have component inputs- get a set of PS2 component cables and use that for your HD needs. You'll see your PS3 games play in 720p and Blu-ray movies will run in 1080i.
