Toys R Us, WTH!!!

WTH!!!! Socom was slated to be released today, and shipped today per their website as of last night, and now the date changed. Also other games slated to be released today are being pushed back for after the promotion is over, they are very sneaky!!

May have to check the store by me, which is a hassle to get to, to see if they have it in store......

I agree. Now I have to browse to see what games are worth getting. 2k9, Dead Space were my lcok in games, my 3rd was still in the air.....Socom possibly. Wanted to get heavenly Sword, but looking on ebay for cheaper copy, def not worth the 60 bucks (still) and would gip me of a new game I want!

True. For a second I thought it was a timed release exclusive, meaning stores like gamestop, eb and bestbuy get it earlier to benefit of the sales, but went on to some other sites, and they have ot ready for today. Curious to know if this is just for Toys R Us website, instead of b&m store, so will try to swing by one tonight. It's just so out of my way!

no its online too, and for the person that said at least we have it. Yah true but what good if you do it before all the best games pretty much come out. HOpefully i still get SR2 and Socom becuase if they push it back again that will be messed up

I have been doing the Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale at TRU for several years now (at least 4). That ad is usually the last full week of October so I seriously doubt there is anything sneaky going on here. Just wait till this Sunday (19th) and see what is in the ad. Last year I got 6 games and took 2 to Wal Mart, unopened, and exchanged them for newer games that were not out when the ad was in effect.boss_of_um

I would agree with you that nothing sneaky was going on if on their website they would have stuck with their intial Socom release date of the 14th, but after the deal it was pushed back to the 17th! And waiting till the 19th is not an option since it is over on the 18th. Will have to do the old switcheroo on them ,and get 2 games as place holders. And retail stores are sneaky!

well the ad ends on the 18th, dead space has had the 20th for a couple days now but Socom and SR2 both had 14 and now say 17th which is still in time for the add. I will get those two just not sure of the third game, everyother game i want is out in a couple weeks KurupSoldr

I'm goign to Toys R Us for the 3 for 2 deal going on. I live in NYC, so no Walmart in my vicinity; I would have to go deep into NJ for that, so not going to happen. Bestbuy and Gamestop, and Circuity City have it, but they don't have the BUY 2 GET 1FREE sale going on at Toys R Us.

The intention of my post was that Toys R Us is jerking the customers by withholding the release of these anticipated titles till after their deal is gone. They want to clear some older titles to make space for the newer ones.

no deal on preorders...they say ships on the 17th now...so anytime between now and friday is a preorder..saturday deals over :/

dont reall want to go through the hassle of a switcharoo and risk not being able to exchange it..i might have to go to war...or sell it on ebay
