If you want an experience as close to MGSPO as possible then go with Manhunt 2. Great story, great third person stealth and shooter action, great graphics you name it, its got it. Silent Hill Origins is awesome too, but has a bit slower pace with puzzles and a bit more exploration involved. Top notch graphics as well. I wouldnt go for Tomb Raider though, heard it was a bit glitchy and linear but then again reviews arent everything so its up to you.
A few others that could pass the time are Killzone, Socom FTB2, The Warriors, Pursuit Force, MOHH, SFDM and SFLS. If you enjoy stealth shooters, then either Syphon Filter game will certainly pass the time..
