I've been wanting a PS3 ever since I got to play one.. Or watch someone play it, but I'm stuck with the 360. My Xbox is currently having problems so I'm wanting to trade it. It usually runs games but doesn't read the memory hard drive, lol POS... So would I be able to trade the 360 with about 7-8 working games (Including Rock Band, GH2) and one of my two PSP's with a couple games for a PS3 and more?

Would I have to get the 360 fixed first? Or what??? i had Live so should I get it fixed and clear the memory so someone that buys it doesn't get my moms debit card number??

No flaming please.. I'm not trying to get people to say stuff that would be considered Console Wars. Such as, Finally the Ps3 is way better. Or, Why the Ps3 is over rated, anything like that. Pleae refrain from it

Call the store you plan on trading it into. Some of your games may not be accepted.

I'm trying to find a good place to trade into.. I don't want Gamestop or EB Games because they are tight asses... And the other stores, don't know if they'll be able to take them.. Probably go with Gamestop though and see. Usually they want you to bring it in to check condition of it. And then they'll price it. Make sure you have correct cases and manuals, etc. No scratches.... I think they just chose a random number and tell you that's how much they'll give.

When I had my Ps2 I traded it in at Gamestop with 20 some alright games. And got like $70.. This was when the PS2 fat was still in Walmart..

No way.. Even eBay suggests you don't buy Ps3's or Wii's from them, due to fraudulent claims, etc.

just sell it without the HDD on ebay you will get a much better price for it, i just watched a xbox 360 with just 2 wireless controllers and a couple games sell for $300 so imagine that plus selling your PSP

No, every game has a value in good or nasty condition. I know b/c i work there. And yes they will check your 360 and make sure it reads games and functions correctly.

gs will take it, they test to see if it turns on and plays games thats about it. you will be able to get by. but you will be taking a big price cut. don't expect to get much out of it. you can get about $25 for newer games and less. don't think you will get a trade with out forking over a few hunderd out of pocket.

yeah, although you could try, the worse thing that would happen is they would say we can't take it. and for how much you would get, go find a used copy of the game you wanna trade in, you'll get about 25%-60% of whatever they sell it for, the newer it is, the more you would get.

Your not going to get very much for the system regardless of where you go. Now the PSP may have some value to it (depending on the condition and which version it is.

You'll do a lot better price-wie by going the ebay route. Gamestop needs to turn around and make a profit selling what you're trading, so youre not going to get even close to the "real" value for anything. I like *buying* used from Gamestop for the used price + 10% edge card discount, but I never trade anything in.

Used PSPs are going for about $100 on ebay right now, but if your xbox isn't working in good order, don't expect to get much for it. Also, I'd do a little checking to see what you could get if it was working before you go spending more mony to get it fixed. For example, if you can get $50 for it "broken" and $100 for it working, but it costs $75 to fix, you're wasting $25.

I went ahead and printed off a shipping label for a free estimate on the 360 by 360 Pros. I might just wait till this summer when i get a job at the local pool to buy a PS3... I really only want the Ps3 for MLB 08 The Show, and the baseball games aren't really fun on a 5x3 screen lol... And the Blu Ray player... I guess, but def. for the cutting edge graphics.... Thats not the only game I want 1 but its a large reason why...
