Trade in 10 games for a PS3

Hi, at my local EB Games in Rexdale Ontario, they have a deal going on right now, they have a brand new 60 ps3 going for 399.99 plus tax (around 450) if you trade in 10 games, this gen or last gen, is it a good deal? should i go with it?laidback_16

if they are rare games, and games u like and wont see on shelfs, then no i personaly dont think it is, but if they are games u dont play anymore or games that are less value to u and dont care much, then yea its a good deal

Especially considering that EB Games usually gives you like 2 bucks for a game if you're lucky. I'd do it! Are you sure its any 10 games though? Don't want you to go suicidal when you bring in Barbies Horse Adventures (or any other suitably crappy game) and they don't take it ya know.

Yah, I just did the deal a few days ago.  I traded in a lot of games that I hadn't played for a while.  I even traded in my old Xbox and my PS2.  Not a lot of my games were the minimum $8 required to qualify for the deal, but the guy tweaked the numbers so that it worked out.

Pretty good deal in my mind.  Got rid of games that i was keeping for no apparent reason.  Got rid of my Xbox which I hadn't played for a while.  Got rid of my PS2 which would become redundant.

 Ended up with a PS3 (60gig), an extra controller, hdmi cable, Resistance and some trade value left over...yah, I'm pretty stoked!

Sorry to burst bubbles here, but it's not how it work (I got my ps3 with this "deal")

 They take the value of the game, and if its less thant 10$ then round it to 10$. If its more, you will get the value corresponding. If its more than 20$, it will get cut back to 20$. Thats how it was explained to me. I got 130$ out of 10 game (7 x 10$ + 3 x 20$) and was quite disapointed at the add that in small characters asks you to see clerks for detail... oh well, everything was right in front of me and I did brought my 10 least played games so... I did the move.

So unless you're bringing back 10 copies of FFXII, don't expect the full price cut.

I did this deal last month. They gave me $26 for most of them. I can't remember the titles but most were children's games like "Cars", "Shrek", etc.. Old PS2/DS games that I dug out of bargain bins the year before. After taxes, the system plus Resistance cost about $440 CAD.

I have a feeling they were eager to make a sale because I was surprised at how much they gave me for some of the games. I suspect they get some sort of reimbursement from Sony.
