Trade-in value for ylod 60 gb ps3?

Does anyone know the trade-in value for a ylod 60gb ps3? My ps3 has got ylod for 3rd time after being repaired twice and it's time for a slim. I was trying to hold out on my 60gb until my tax return came and then transfer the data over but it looks I will lose the data (unless someone knows a way to get it off the hard-drive with the unit dead.)

they offered me $180 for mine, but they said no cuz the warrenty sticker was removed, i had to fix the ylod myself, lucky me i sold it to a friends friend who dosen't know that hehe

how do you all have so many problems with your ps3. I have had mine since launch and it has worked like a charm ever since

Sell it "as is" on Ebay, it being a 60GB version you may be able to get $150 for it. And that's while it's broke. Or try one of the repair services on Ebay..I think they charge like $60 or something, can't really remember the exact price.gamer082009

and i think 0 they dont take broken units

They do take broken units but you get little to nothing and could actually end up having to pay Gamestop to take it from you. It might not be worth it. They send it off to a Gamestop refurbishing center. So they do take them. I would just get it fixed again and sell it for a profit. Ebay would make you the most money.
