Wow, it's been so long since I've been into the whole trade-in thing. I've forgotten how cheap GameStop is.....
As for right now, call me crazy, but I just might do it. And I will have enough since I have some cash and a few games to trade in as well.
As someone else mentioned, Craigslist (www.craigslist.org) or eBay will get you great prices for the PSP, particularly if you make a bundle with all your other stuff (chargers, case, games, movies, MemorySticks, ...). I see $100+ for a simple bundle very often. The nice part about Craigslist is that a) the person is usually geographically close enough to do the deal in person and b) you don't have to wait 7-14 days to get your money.
I'd never do a trade-in, unless you have no patience and don't need the money (in which case, why trade-in at all? ;)
It's a bad idea to come on the psp forum and talk about trading in your psp because psp owners are already hyper sensitive about people bashing the system and they take the idea of trading one in as an insult. So they'll inundate you with negative feedback. That said, they are right that a simple craigslist posting might net you twice or triple the cash. But if you're intent on trading it in wait till Gamestop offers their extra 20% special on system trade ins...thats help a bit and that's what I did with my extra 360.Hopewellone
Wow, you are right, considering that every 7 or so replies consists of only 1 helpful answer to my question. Impressive, guys. Anyway, I would definitely prefer GTA IV over an entire PSP, so hopefully that dents the negative feedback. A few more answers to my question would definitely be of great help to me, and remember all of the other stuff that I'm trading in with it (in my response prior to this one):
Um, forgot to mention that I have 4 games (GTA LCS, Twisted Metal, Daxter, and Burnout Legends) plus a 1 GB memory stick to go with them. Plus $20 cash. What do you think the total will be then?
Trade it in/recycle it at Best Buy. They will give you at least 75 bucks. Go check it out, Google, Best Buy Recycling. I hope it helps, don't resort to Gamestop. I only BUY games there, don't sell stuff, please. But if there is no Best Buy near you I guess you would have to go with Gamestop. Your games are all Greatest Hits, so they would probably sell for $5-$7, and the memory stick will fetch up to $15, if you lucky. I'm a PSP owner, but now that Patapon, GOW, CC:FF, are all out... I'm like, "can i haz mur psp gams plz?"
At least my 360 is still kicking.
Well you know my psp go isn't working well ,so i thnk i'm going to trade it in for a psp vita.lmanmagician200You shouldn't revive old threads, and i have doubts gamestop will accept a system that doesn't work. You should call them first, so that you avoid driving or walking there and finding out that they don't accept broken consoles.
