Tranfering data to a new Hard disk

Im planning to buy a new HDD, can I transfer the files I already have in the old HDD, if so, How can I?

I'm not sure this would work but I'd buy an external hd enclosure when you get your new hard drive. Then you could take the 60/20gb hd that's currently in your ps3, put it into the external case and transfer all the files to your pc. Then transfer the same files to your new hd. After you could use your old hd as a back up drive or something. Again, not sure this would work and I haven't tried it but seems like it should.

Actually, there is a backup option in the XMB Settings menu meant for you to backup data and restore them on a new upgraded HDD. You just need a USB drive or flash memory device that is big enough to house the backup data.

Keep in mind that the storage device HAS to be formatted in FAT32. Other than that, the backup settings should work out fine.
