I'm trying to decide whether to get

Jean D' Arc, Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness, or Final Fantasy Tactics.

Which of them do you think has the best story, and gameplay?

Please put why you think your choice is the best in your comment.

Thanks

I haven't played Disgaea or however you spell it, but I own both Jeanne D'Arc and Final Fantasy Tactics and I recomend FFT if you've played SRPGs before, if not Jeanne D'Arc is more for beginers to the genre.

I'm not a beginner. Is Jean D' Arc really easy?

OOOOhhhhh

Easier then Final Fantasy Tactics, but as a beginer's point of view less complicated. FFT is somewhat harder and has a somewhat steep learning curve.

If your new to the genre, Jeanne D'Arc offers a nice introduction to the genre, a very well done story, and it wraps up in about 20 hours. If you get through that, and you like it, I would move onto Disgaea. It really is (in my opinion) the epitome of SRPG. It is a bit more whimsical and less story driven, but it is without a doubt the deepest SRPG out there that I have played. You can lose yourself almost forever in that game.

I know it wasn't on the list, but check out the 40k Squad Command demo. Turn Based Strategy, not RPG though. From the demo it looks like that game is going to rock. :) As far as the list goes, FFTactics is a classic. Can't go wrong there. :)

I don't have it yet, but I had to leave something for the xmas list >>> Final Fantasy Tactics. You probably already know this, butsome people insist thatit is the staple of the genre, and it has yet to be topped since it's release in 98'. I've had it since the week it came out on psx - one of my favorite games of all time, and I can not wait tilI get it on xmas day for the PSP.

Tactics.. Suggest you talk to a friend or some one who has played the game.. The levels and jobs can be pretty confusing.. The game litterally has hundreds of hours of gameplay (my friend spent supposedly 150+ hours on one game).. So the game sounds pretty amazing.. SPECIALLY when multiplayer has been added which gives it amazing replayability..

Personally I prefer Disgaea.
